Driving tonight, turned on the wipers and they immediately stuck in the upright position.

I can hear a motor clicking but they don’t move. Can’t be manually put down.

Turned it off and restarted and no change.

any ideas on how to fix/reset?

Only idea I have is a hacksaw and pretty sure that isn’t what you are looking for. Sounds like a key or gear popped off from the motor but I have no idea what it looks like under there

I haven’t been active lately and didn’t know if this was a. Common occurrence or a simple fix I was overlooking.

I will see if I can get into the dealer tomorrow.

thanks

Dealer said windshield wiper motor short circuited and burned out.
