Does it happen when the wipers are in the intermittent setting or just on slow or fast?

We've not had an issue with ours but something I have noticed that is weird is that the wipers will not park when the vehicle is turned off. If I have the wipers on and shut off the vehicle they just stay where they are.

I've not had a car do that in decades.

What I’ve done to other vehicles is use car wax to wax the windshield. First I tried it as an experiment on half the windshield for ease of bug removal during the summer. It seemed to help for about 2 weeks for bugs, the bonus was water sheeted off very well.
I use synthetic wax, and have for over a decade. I wax the entire vehicle with it - paint, glass, plastic, rubber and love it. The wax works like rain-x; I rarely have my wipers on low or high, usually just intermittent.

I use Rain-X wiper fluid only, 19k miles, no problem- you need to sit down and shut up before you call the wrong person an idiot.

Came here to make a similar post and hoped that I was just the dummy who couldn't figure out the wiper settings... guess this is a real issue, huh?

Might not be related but my Ford F 150 raptor just received a wiper recall. Says parts won't be available until Q3 and they will need the truck for 1/2 day.

Thats what I was afraid of. Not crazy about having things torn apart to get to a wiper motor. Was hoping it was only a software issue.

Using Rain-X is not a solution to the OPs question, it is a workaround. It may help shed the water better but does not resolve the problem of the motors slowing down when they are needed the most.

Read this thread the other day, decided to try it this morning in medium snow As mentioned, on low the wipers went to intermittent after a minute or so. They never seemed to try to speed up or slow down, so any BS about them being "smart" is just BS. I then switched to high, and they worked correctly the entire time until a got home, a few minutes. Never had a vehicle where low didn't mean low, any smart wiping was always on the intermittent settings.

Yes, after a couple of times at the dealership, I went there when it was raining and took the service tech for a ride with me to SHOW him what it was doing as they could not recreate the issue in the garage with a shower head rigged up to a stand with a garden hose pouring water onto the windshield. After the quick road trip in the rain, they decided to replace my wiper motor.

...fixed!
Did they have to tear apart the dash to get to the motor?

We’ve only had our Bronco for 2.5 weeks, and this is the first time I have driven it in the rain, and I seem to have the same issue when I use the “low” wiper setting. I switched to “high” and they stayed working as they should. I was really hoping I wouldn’t have this issue.
My fear is that we won’t have an actual “fix” for this before my wife has the issue when she’s driving in the rain and will insist we trade it in. I’m exaggerating, but I am certainly not looking forward to having that discussion.
Reported.
