My ride is great at 38 psi. The tpms triggers at 31 psi.

Am I the only one who finds the ride unacceptably harsh with the Sasquatch tires at 39psi?
my previous ride was a JKU with 34” BFG Km2s that I ran at 32psi.
With all the hype, I was expecting the Sas Bronco to be a much smoother ride…
it is NOT.
I dropped the pressure to 37 last week and it helped a little. Today I dropped them to 35psi cold and it is starting to feel acceptable.
The tires are labeled as 35psi max, and I am guessing that Ford has specified 39psi to help with gas mileage…
am I missing something?
I keep mine at 39 as well. I have HOSS 3.0 which may help but the ride feels good. Even when crossing R.R. tracks

Goodyear is listing the maximum tire pressure at maximum load. The Bronco doesn't put that tire anywhere near maximum load.

The Goodyear Territories are rated for 5070 lbs per axle (2535 per tire). GAWR on the Bronco is 3270 lbs for the front, and 3070 lbs for the rear. So the Bronco's maximum ratings are well below the tires maximum ratings.
Ok thank you. So are we crowning and eventually cupping our tires at 39psi if max load isn't supposed to get more than 35psi?

Agreed!

When I got my Suspension Installed and then aligned, the shop also weighed my Corner Weights of my Bronco. 1470lbs average on the front and 1130lbs average on the rear. This is NO WHERE close to the maximum weight load of the original Sasquatch tires. Why on earth would I run them at 39psi???

I currently have E Rated 37s that have an even higher weight load rating and run these at 32psi front and 30 psi rear. No, this will not damage my tires. There is a nice even contact patch now with no tire bulge on the side. In fact, just this past week I drove my Bronco from Virginia back to Florida and got 18MPG at 75-80 MPH with this tire pressure.

Nah, I don't think so. But I bet you Ford is recommending tire pressures that high largely for fuel economy. So if you are concerned about it, you can drop it 2-4 PSI and should be fine.

The Goodyear Territory tires are not exactly the world's best tire. They are purpose-built for the automobile manufactures to stick on factory vehicles, and they are prioritizing cost, low weight, fuel economy, and decent off-road performance will retaining acceptable on-road performance. I'm personally not expecting them to be a 50,000+ mile tire, probably more like 30k - 40k... but I guess we'll see how it works out.

I don't understand the worry about liability. Your tire isn't going to turn into a bomb with only an additional 4 psi. The reason they say 39 psi is so they can meet their claimed fuel economy rating. There is a noticeable increase in highway fuel consumption and, tire rolling resistance and noise at lower tire pressures. On the flip side, the ride is a bit harsh at 39 psi cold, especially if you consider that in warm or hot weather the actual hot tire pressure will be closer to 43 psi. If you drive long distances at highway speeds you will probably want to keep the pressure a little higher(unless you don't care about fuel prices). If you do mostly urban driving at lower speeds, you'll probably enjoy the ride better at a lower tire pressure.

my first week with my badsquatch was similar... I hated how jarring the ride was (I have an old neck injury from when I broke it 22 years ago, so the harshness is a factor for me). I have been playing with air pressures in the tires and have settled around 33-34 psi for daily driving use and it made a huge difference. Mine were also set to 39 from the dealer when I picked it up 5 weeks ago. I also feel like the suspension has softened a bit over the 2000 miles since I've been driving it.

I've been keeping mine at 37.

There is so much air volume in these that I'm constantly adding or removing air when there are temperature swings.
