Glad I got my 23 OBX NOS for CAD 25K less than a new one with toxic vinyl interior and no AT with costcos fashion colors.

I'm not at all surprised by the 4 door stroppe. 4 doors are what most people want sadly. Ford probably assumes they'll move more of them at the pricepoint they want to sell, and they're probably correct.
Post up your order!

The Sport is more of a box than a blob. And it's pretty good for what it is if you go with a 25 Bad/Sas.

I find it ironic that back in the day the (wannabe Bronco) Bronco II was built on a Ranger chassis while the current actual Bronco is now built on ... a Ranger chassis.
Well todays Ranger is almost as big as the F-150 back then. My '91 Ranger is tiny next to the 2020 that I traded in for the Bronco.

Did someone already explain what the point in a 4 door Stroppe is?

Why would you choose this over a nearly new Braptor, given that the prices wouldn't be far off?
Ford's sales of the 2 door version was probably very slow

I ain't buying one, I have a 2 door, and stroppes are ugly. When ford sells somewhere in the neighborhood of 80-90% 4 doors however much my fellow 2 door fans may gnash their teeth, the market has spoken as to what's more desirable.

Profitable for Ford, yes. Desirable is subjective. I’d argue no.

Like the death of cool cars and wagons and the rise of the soulless CUV frenzy, North Americans kid themselves into believing that they have to be able to carry EVERYTHING ALWAYS.

Daily commuting, I see 95% (or more) vehicles with one person in them.

People are missing out on driving pleasure for perceived practicality.

The car industry would be a far more interesting place if people considered their actual needs.

Give me a Corolla GR over a RAV4 every day of the week. And I have two young kids in car seats and also daily drive Minis.

The point is, they speak with their wallets as what they find as an acceptable buy. As fewer people have completely disposable income, a multi-purpose vehicle is an easier sell. I lament the death of 2 doors for just about everything, but I understand why Ford's come to the conclusion it has. Right now, my hope is that they'll try to do some sort of FJ cruiser solution that at least LOOKS like it only has 2 doors.

Now I can't decide on a 4 door or a 2 door. 😢
For me it came down to wanting extra cargo space with our 2 boys in the back. If it was just the wife and me, I'd go for 2 door hands down.

I'll bite.

I'll probably just keep buying 2-door Jeeps. At least they haven't went completely away from ala carte optioning.

My dream Eruption Green Bronco 2-door with cloth seats and painted (or soft) roof will never be. But Jeep will build me a ragtop JL with 35s in Mojito.

Lost sale again, Ford. You blew it in late '22/early '23 with me by messing with trim and options, and you've done it again.
Yeah......the cloth seats I'd pass on to be honest, MGV holds up so much better to sand/salt, etc. Soft top I wish Bestop would come out with a squared off soft top instead of the Slant Back. Mojito is a cool color, but if you want a manual, Bronco is the only way to go.

Oh I'm well aware of the Ranger's growth in size. And my 1999 Ranger is definitely smaller than the 2023 Bronco parked next to it.

I just found the change in Bronco chassis interesting.
