Hi All!

I bought a new 2025 ford bronco about 6 months ago. It now sits at 5900 miles and these are the list of issues I've had thus far:

1. Brand new - Bronco came with one wrong hard top latch; resulted in me not being able to take my tops off for 6 months until the new part got to the dealership. (yes, I could unscrew the hex bolt)
2. Within the first 1500 miles, my front differential was leaking. Dealer ordered new parts and repaired.
3. I've now noticed I have a subtle coolant leak, engine bay and around the front of the vehicle and wheel wells smells like coolant when engine gets hot or after a drive.
4. Went on my first offroading trip (luckily just for the day) and my fuel gauge is not registering properly. Still reading 100% tank level even after driving around 300 miles and refueling once during this time.
5. vehicle seems to randomly slam into gear when I'm coasting or coming to a stop under 15 mph. Happens even sometimes on start up when I shift out of Park to Drive (after letting the vehicle warm up).

I'm scheduled to go to the dealership next week to have them diagnose.

Any advice? I hate that I'm starting to lose trust in the vehicle.

As I said in another thread, it’s like having a hot wife with some annoying traits.

I got my ā€˜25 HE in April and I’m not at 16k yet. I’ve been to the dealer numerous times for recalls (brake booster, child locks) and repairs. I had the transfer case replaced at 13k for a low speed noise. Saggy tailgate window gasket replaced. Gateway module had to be rebooted at the dealer to restore cellular connectivity (Fordpass, etc). I’ve done a few window resets on my own.

If it were a boring vehicle that I expected to be very reliable, I’d be pretty disappointed. But I knew what I was buying and bought the extended Premium protection for a reason. It’s never left me stranded and I would absolutely take it on another epic 3,000+ mile road trip.

Bottom line: I love it, warts and all.

Don’t get discouraged yet. The odds of those same problems returning anytime soon after a dealer fix are probably not very high. You may have just drawn a bad hand on a few components. Let the warranty work for you and enjoy your Bronco.

Really appreciate the words.. I love my bronco and want to continue to enjoy it. What's funny is I also did both those recalls already and I do have the saggy tailgate window gasket, I just haven't brought it up to the dealership yet because I hate going there and the service contact I have to deal with is a clown unfortunately :(

Damn bad luck, you got all the bugs it seems.
Hopefully the dealer can take care of this or try another dealer if you can.

Some good news, my 2024 has 22,000 on it and it’s been perfect. I treat it like the wild thing it is and it’s holding up great.
I think there are more good ones than bad and if they can’t solve the issues maybe you can jump into another one.

If there is no dirt in the window gasket adhesive (it should be clear not dark) you can push it up and hold it in place for 30 seconds before releasing. You will hear it crackle faintly as air works out and the adhesive grabs. It is a kind that never dries, it stays tacky. If dirt has gotten into the adhesive, it will need to be replaced because it will droop again.

Take care not to blast a strong stream of water into that top gap between the tailgate window and roof when washing, as it can force the gasket down while pushing dirt into it at the same time. Probably how it happened on mine.

Mine was replaced under warranty. That was months ago and no problems since.

You'd think it would be cheaper for Ford to build them to a higher quality level. All of these recalls and defects repaired at dealers cannot be cheap...

The only problem I've had on my 25 Big Bend w/Black Diamond package has been one of the rear windows doesn't drop fast enough when you pull the handle. It's noticeably slower than the other three windows.

All your issues seem pretty minor but annoying , You have lots of warranty so I'd let dealer fix them and see what unfolds in future, If it continues to be a problem unload it while still under warranty. My 2023 twin turbo 4 door heritage at almost 20 thou has been flawless , it's replicating my 5.0 2013 f150 šŸ‘šŸ˜ƒšŸ˜¬

Sorry to hear your issues. It's a Ford, what will go wrong will go wrong.

Check with your state law if it's lemon eligible.

Or watch market condition and off load it without taking a bath in it.

Can only blame Jim Farley and those greedy union workers for not taking pride in building quality products for Ford buyers who support their livehood.

We have a 25' heritage as well we got in April. We have been in numerous times already as well 2 recalls since we bought it in April. Got an oil change a few weeks ago now we are hearing this cricket sound in the dash area by the steering wheel we will even hear it when we first get in the Bronco before we start it. It will do it like 5 times sometimes no idea where it came from. I think it is a computer issue but not sure. We are taking it in next week. It is not a rattle, literally sounded like a cricket. Thoughts?

There’s definitely another thread about the cricket noise. Haven’t had it myself yet but others have.

I’m enjoying the Bronco too much to sell it while it’s under warranty. I plan to keep it for at least a few years.

Welcome to the land of apologists. Mine is my first and last Ford. Absolutely never again. If my wife didn't like it so much ot it would be gone already. Had a really good offer from carvana back in the spring that I wish I took. That's dropped a lot since then.
6 drop-off/pick up cycles to the dealer, with no loaner, in the first year for us. I'd have to be a total sociopath to think it's all better now and new things won't keep popping up.

I have a 2021 OB V6 with 38,000 miles which i love. It looks amazing. I agree lots of quirks. I was also very surprised by all the quirks, issues, recalls etc. Some im getting used to, some i fixed on my own and some really bother me and i will need to address. I have had a ton of issues after the dealer installed the new engine under warranty but i cant blame the truck for that, its been 100% dealer related. I have alot of trust issues/lack of faith in my dealer or rather the dealer that did my work. I cant paint all with the same brush as i know some are amazing and have true car people working there that care. I agree with what others have said on this thread though. As i sit here and type this i recall the issues i had with my 88 Bronco. The best thing about that truck was the look and the 351 motor. Lots of quirks as well. At least Ford was consistent with the spirit of the quirks lol. Hopefully all your issues get resolved or you get it to the point where its good enough and then sell or trade it in. I feel your pain.
