Hi all,
2025 bronco Heritage - 2.7 1200 miles
Yesterday I went on a 200 mile drive round trip and noticed a whirring sound coming from what appeared to be directly in front of me behind the fire wall and in the engine bay.
The sound was definitely louder at highway speeds and only occurred when I would put any amount of pressure on the gas pedal. As soon as I let off, no matter the speed I was driving, the sound went away. As soon as I tap the gas again to begin accelerating, sound is back until I let off the gas again.
towards the end of the trip, I was more in tune with this sound being present and also noticed it even at lower speeds when going from stoplight to stoplight util I made it home.
Iāll be scheduling a service appointment but curious if anyone has any insight here.
Late Edit: Front differential had a bad/defective seal and was leaking, thus causing the whirring sound. Dealer repaired.
