2025 Broncos... 2-door going extinct?

Not sure if anybody wonders if I’m a Karen, but I doubt it when a 90 lb K9 trained Giant is guarding my Karenly back set of doors.

Pretty sure that my untrained 150# Anatolian Shepherd would have found him to be a cute chew toy, he was 35" tall at the shoulder when standing. LOL.

You have a beautiful dog and I am sure a very capable K9... It's just not in the same class as an Anatolian Shepherd (the canine equivalent of a fire and forget cruise missile).

Shhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiiit…I am beginning to think, in our User Profiles where it asked to identify “Your Bronco Model:” instead of a dropdown list of the different trims to pick from, it should have forced us to identify as 2-door or 4-door.

For me it was a 2 door or I wasn’t buying one. I remember riding around with my grandfather in his Gen 1 as a child. I wanted that feeling. The 2 door is so agile and easy to maneuver. My wife has the large 3 row SUV so I thankfully don’t need 4 doors.

No doubt about that. But she’s not trained against dogs. She was trained with the help of friends in the LA county SD swat K9 program, with the exception of German commands. She responds only to Tsalagi (Cherokee) commands.

As passionate as everyone in this forum is about the 2-door, it is not what most people want. Look at the dealer lots. If you want a 2-door, there are hundreds to choose from. If they have 4-doors on the lot, they are usually soft tops or a Raptor. I love the 2-door look, but I’m driving a 4-dr Heritage. If demand keeps dropping, don’t be surprised that the 2-door is discontinued in the future.

I don't think looking at dealer lots for proof of the 4-door's popularity doesn't tell us the full story. After all, only the 4-door variants exist on dealer lots, and they are well, 4-doors. Trying to find a 2-door right now is like finding a unicorn. I think this perception the 4-door demand far outstrips two-door demand is a decision made on a conference room table, along with auto vs. manual transmissions. Another example: the white, black and gray variants for color choices that we are told are based on customer popularity. Again: dealer lots are full of them.

Automatics make for easier software control. With today's paints, it's cheaper to stick with white and black. Perhaps the 4-door thing is because that's what the other brands have been doing doing for over 10 years now...

We could probably save a lot of grief if we just went back to the good old days when Bronco’s, Jeeps, pickups, and sports cars only came with 2 doors, everyone was happy, and there was no griping about it on the internet!

Yep ... we need model, number of doors, if you actually have taken it off-road, how many Broncos you have previously owned, the type/size of your dog, and your preferred beverage and brand of choice!

This extinction level event is why I just sprung on my 2024 2DR Heritage. Would have liked the new dash, but the savings are solid now and the 2DR is about to go bye bye (completely so in Heritage).

I was seriously considering a 2-door. It was the poor back seat access that killed it for me. I like my friends and I don't like to see them suffer.

I have the 2 door and the backseat space is bigger then the 4 door and out of all the 2 door models the bronco has the most space to get in the back (better then the wrangler and Land Rover). I’m in my 30’s and so are my friends so getting in the back is no problem and everyone has said it’s comfortable back there. It has its limits, probably wouldn’t be ideal for a 3 hour + Trip but an hour or under is no problem. Also I have 2 dogs 50lbs each so not too big but the back has plenty of room seats up or down.

I can confirm that even them olds known as "40-agers" that admit they're my friends have expressed the same sentiments. Typically, "ooh nicer back here than I thought!" Even had a 6' 7" Chinese dude back there and yeah, getting past the door/seat was the only issue he had (technically, late 30's).
