Jeep has diesel. Sell as well.

I really think it would sell extremely well.
Especially with off-road.
Fuel economy and torque.
I think we are more likely to get a new hybrid power boost before we ever see a diesel in a Bronco. Diesel is "old tech" and something Americans never really got into. Does anybody besides Jeep sell a diesel passenger vehicle domestically? I don't think Ford even sells a small diesel equipped vehicle in the states anymore, not even in the Transits. Smallest we have here now is the 6.7.

And as pointed out, everyone wanted a diesel F150 but then nobody bought it. Ford isn't going to make that mistake again.

Edit. It appears that even VW has given up on selling diesels here.

I remember the style differences from the 2005 vs the 2010 Mustangs. I wonder if the style differences will be that drastic for the Bronco.

I like the current design of the Bronco a lot. My guess will be subtle cosmetics differences, more tech, and more color options. Maybe a new model and retiring a model. All speculation…..

I would like to see a diesel option, digital dash, maybe HUD, and give the Heritage edition a retro digital dash option that you can select.
Wait. You think the style between 2005 and 2010 was drastic? 1993 and 1994 would like a word…

And still the best selling vehicle in North America 40+ years and running (and #4 in the world for 2023)
Just putting this out there but combine the Chevy and GMC Silverado sales and I believe that changes.

I still contend that the Bronco Sport was a head fake by Ford that tricked Cheby into producing a neutered Blazer and ultimately boxing themselves out of an emerging market. My theory is that Ford leaked the Sport design early on as the return of the Bronco, Cheby responded and was allowed to beat Ford to the market with their all new Blazer!, meanwhile Ford was designing the real Bronco in the background. However, the Sport was well enough received that Ford decided to bring it to market it as well. But that is just a theory, a conspiracy theory.
Absolutely the other way around. The Bronco Sport was 100% going to be the next Bronco. Ford made a very late game decision to make the G6 we see today. I’m very glad they did but the quality and engineering in the Sport are a loooooning way ahead of the G6 Bronco. Ford knocked it out of the park with the exterior design but the cheap and not well thought out interior and weirdness of certain parts of the driveline show it was a quick to market decision.

I have inside information and can tell you EXACTLY what is in store for the 2025 model year. Apologies if this has already been mentioned, but I did not read the whole thread:

1. Ford has been working hard to get rid of the delivery issues, frustrations with orders, and Price increases that they have had the last few years. With the 2025 model year they plan to introduce all new delivery issues, frustrations with orders, and price increases.

2. Ford has also heard our complaints about quality control, and they are going to go with a new quality control process where somebody has to check a box that says the bronco looks good once it was built.

3. They know we love all the warnings that the bronco has, like when you’re low on gas or might’ve left something in the backseat. So the 2025 will be featuring new warnings, including you’re going to fast (anytime you go over 15), are you sure you don’t wanna hire a professional? (when leaving home improvement stores), and you’re low on milk.

4. No more manual transmissions will be sold to anybody under 35. Clutch warrantees will not be honored if there is evidence that somebody under 35 has driven the bronco.

4a. Because of the above requirement, manual transmission broncos will also include a CD player and an auxiliary audio port

5. Anyone that trades in a jeep will be required to surrender all rubber duckies in their possession and sign an affidavit that they will stop doing that.

6. ADM is no longer a dealer option and will be installed from the factory. You’ll know how much your ADM is when your bronco is delivered and it will be on the sticker.

7. To cut costs, many items currently standard will become optional for an up charge. But sensors will be added to prevent the vehicle from being operated in an unsafe fashion. For instance, if you don’t opt for headlights, the light sensor will not allow the engine to run when it’s dark. If you don’t choose to get brakes, the vehicle will only run uphill.

LOL...I was always a fan of the Fox body. For some reason I liked the look of it. The rounded style that came after never did it for me, and the new Edge was something out of a horror movie.

Typically that would be anywhere between June-August. I believe it's too early to know anything about the 25 model years as of now but I'd like to see a digital gauge cluster and hopefully an upgraded hard top
Well, we have a digital gauge cluster... it's just trash :)

lol, I don’t there there is one bit of truth in this. The G6 was anything but quick to market. Had been working on the concept for almost 20 years. The Sport was an easy, let’s slap something else on the Escape platform to fill the spot left by the old Explorer we turned in a station wagon. We’ll give it some off-road cred and piggy back on the G6 launch with the Bronco name.

Two different name plates, not the same. That would be like combining Ford and Mercury products back in the day, like the Escort and Lynx (both the same car outside of different grills)

The Explorer was the replacement for the Bronco II and the Expedition was the replacement for the "big" Bronco.

The Sport and regular Bronco are completely different segments now. The Bronco is a mid sized vehicle and the Sport is a compact vs the old Bronco and Bronco II.

Another option I would like to see would be an actual roof rack for the 4 doors instead of a roof rack for both the 2 door and 4 door. I wonder why you can't add the roof rack from the factory for the Bronco Raptor, maybe its because its too tall for shipping or something. I found a solution for the extra crossbar for the roof rack on Amazon. It will add a crossbar to the back of the top. I will want something like this for my Yakima ShowBoat 66 retractable roller to make loading and unloading my kayak easier.

Roof Corssbar

Video of what I'm talking about

You’re looking at this wearing a Rift or Oculus or Vision Pro’s because that sure isn’t reality. The Bronco Sport was absolutely going to be the next Bronco. Just like how GM brought back the Blazer. Just because something was said 20 Years ago does not mean the planning was in motion for it for that long. Especially at Ford.

You’re making my point for me. The GM version of the same truck if GM combined the names would outsell the F150. I’m just putting that out there that “best selling” is a marketing strategy.
