There is no such upgrade offered by Ford. They offer no option to add GOAT modes to any trim.
I'm generally of the mind that artificially limiting features solely through software is an FU.
Customers found a way to unlock a feature that should never have been locked in the first place.
They should also have an option to add the sway bar disconnect to other trims, but they don’t.

Really hope someone figures this out.
My first reaction is this is just a giant FU from Ford to their customers. Absolutely no reason to block this change.
When changing to try to include Sport mode, the excel sheet said to change the entry to a “B” but the original value is a 9 and said that it should be an integer, so I’m assuming Ford changed something between the model years to keep things interesting. Ford’s awesome.

I don't have my Badlands yet. I was very excited to see people cracked the code for sport mode. So do you guys think you can do it?

This adapter works. Thank you
As in your original post's issue was resolved with this particular adapter, or are you still having issues?

you mean other than the fact that they don’t sell that option with this trim?

I have the same issue with ABS module when I try to enable Sport Mode on my MY22 Badlands w/ Sas
I've run into the same problem. I've tried with 3 different connectors.

I've tried with the OBDLink EX and it wouldn't work. I got the error message as he did. I tried two other OBD connectors and it still didn't work. Ford has changed something for MY22

I'd still like to know what OP means by " This adapter works."

Might be the conspiracy theorist in me, but anyone else find it interesting that this is now locked down and D2dhanover (and some of his posts) has apparently disappeared? 🤔

Well to be fair, that’s not just a software change. That’s hardware.

Yeah, how dare Ford make people pay for upgrades. I hope someone figures it out, but it’s not a FU from Ford to their customers. Unlocking shit you didn’t pay for is a FU from the customers to Ford.
Would you mind giving me a link to the paid upgrade for Sport Mode on Badlands and First Edition models? It wasn't an option when I ordered, but it must be available since you're claiming that we're trying to unlock shit we didn't pay for? Thanks.

We all made our choices on which trim level we got. Not all options are available on all trims. I wish they were, but they’re not. My point was that Ford is not “screwing” anyone by not allowing them to unlock a feature that’s not available on the trim level they chose. If anything, you’re screwing Ford when you unlock features that weren't Included on your vehicle. I have no problem with people doing it, and I wouldn’t feel bad about “cheating” ford out of a few free upgrades, but it’s not like anybody got cheated by Ford If they did in fact make it impossible to unlock a feature not available on that trim.

D2dhanover pulled a Keyser Soze. Or the Forum gods brought in the cleaners.
