My biggest problem with it is that it looks like the HVAC controls in an econo car. The interior already looks cheap, the digital temp displays were one of the few things that helped it look somewhat decent. Even the manual controls in my F150 have little indicator LEDs.

So.... When you have the drivers temp set comfortably, and you mess with your passenger by cranking up their temp when they're not looking, then they can't see what you did! Unless they spin the knobs. Very tricky, Ford.

Edit: damn, I hope I never have a failure and have to order a replacement

I imagine its deeply integrated. maybe the code is latent in there... maybe theres a vacant plug in a harness somewhere you just need to tap into.
