Aesthetically they look better, but a 4 door will drive better and feel more stable.
Wondering what you're comment is based on. Yes, if hauling ass through the desert the longer wheelbase will handle the whoops better than a shorter wheelbase. On the road I don't see any difference. On trails, the shorter wheelbase with be better in most situations. I love it that the 2dr has a 100.4" WB. The Wranglers had the same WB as a CJ7, through the YJ and TJ (up to 2006) and now have a 96.8" WB, still 4" shorter then the Bronco. I've been driving Jeep Cherokee XJ's for 28 years with a 101" WB which has always worked better than the Wranglers and popularly considered an ideal wheelbase for off roading.

Anyway, you posted a 4dr is better comment in a 2dr love fest, so back it up. Or just ignore and we'll go on with our "2drs are great" comments. ;):giggle:

So I used to own a 4door JKUR and I’ve driven 2 door jks. To me the unlimited felt more planted on the ground while turning or changing lanes. The 2 door bronco reminds me of a 2 door wrangler but it drives a hell of a lot better. It doesn’t have the solid axle drift. I think I’m being generous when I say 75% of people buying a bronco won’t take it off road. We plan on going to the dunes with it and that’s about it. If I were to actual go off-road In rocks and tough trails I’d buy an LJR. Why are you leaving jeep? If you’re getting a Bronco.

I’ll take option 2. I’ve changed my mind. The four-door most certainly will handle better on the road. I never said it would be better off road. Daily driving the four-door is more stable and more planted on the road because of a longer wheelbase. Unless you never plan on turning it. Why are you leaving jeep? If you’re getting a Bronco.
Changing partly out of curiosity. Partly out of driving a modern vehicle. I won't buy a Wrangler. I've been an XJ guy for so long, and nothing about a Wrangler appeals to me. I work on them (I own a shop), and there are just too many of them all dolled up for looks and trying to be good off road, with pointless accessories and modifications. Not insulting my friends here who have them, but I could never be part of that group, doesn't fit my mental image of myself. I think Broncos are cool, and I think the new Bronco 2dr is cool. The 4dr, for my purposes and views, is no better than a 4dr Wrangler. Flame suit on here. :giggle:

Back to the longer wheelbase is better discussion, since you chose not to ignore. You just made a statement with no reasoning. Why does a longer wheelbase mean more stable? Are you saying a Panamera is more stable than a 911? A Mazda CX-5 more stable than a Miata? Are you talking seat of the pants feeling (actually in your head) or are you talking about actual performance? I understand we're doing this totally for entertainment on the internet, no malice here at all.

Like the 911s tendency to swap ends with you the first few times you corner it hard? Not driven a Panamera and imagine it has some quirks of it's own. I'll take a mid 70s-mid 80s 911 for driving fun though, regardless of newer, better handling cars today.

Makes sense, and I agree. JK's, and especially lifted ones, have quirky steering. Don't anticipate the Broncos being that way, and I would bet there would be little difference in road driving feel between the 2dr and 4dr, but time and experience will tell.

Your in for such a treat with the bronco. It drives amazing. I was able to drive a 2 door and it didn’t disappoint.

I'm teasing
I had one 1988 red and silver two tone with red interior. The module took a shit that sits right behind the driver seat on the qp. I couldn’t find one so I sent it to the scrap yard.

Ughhh. I wish I were your neighbor or friend back then. I would love to get one dirt cheap or free!

I still haven’t seen a 2-door in person, but holy crap, this pic looks like essentially the perfect Bronco to me. I love the simple vintage vibe of the Black Diamond 2-door on steelies. I reserved two Broncos (both 2-doors) and bought an abandoned 4-door Badlands. This kind of pic makes me think I may still trade into the 2-door when it’s time…

LOL, ya, and thin girls tend to look better and be more nimble than big girls, sure she may not ride as smoothly or be as stable, doesn't mean that I want to give up that look or the nimbleness for a smooth, stable ride.

You can keep your big girl (4 doors).
