I recently installed the new Steeda Axle back muffler on my 2.3L manual Bronco.
Its very enjoyable. Quiet at idle. Quiet on the interstate. Driving in town shifting through the gears its noticeable, but not overly loud.
No drone, no fart can noise? Could I do this in my driveway or need it lifted?

The road noise with BFgoodrich KO2 and a soft top are much louder than the exhaust. No fart can sound. I did it in my driveway in about 15 mins. requires a 15mm socket to loosen the exhaust clamp. (the hangers can be annoying, but a little lube and a pry bar... they came right off.) Watch the install video on Steeda Youtube channel.

Anyone using the AWE "Climber," exhaust on a 2 dr., 2.3L? I have used their exhausts before and have really liked them.

Maybe versus the Borla Touring?

I’ve logged over 8k miles with Borla 140897 & 60725. I wanted the quietest exhaust offering from Borla.

There’s no drone while highway cruising, the low frequency note is louder than stock, and highway fuel economy (87octane, factory tune) has improved to +23mpg on the highway. Passengers compliment the sound and no complaints from backseat passengers.

I’m very pleased and recommended this setup. Thank you.

Great photos of the Borla system. I run the exact same Borla Climber system with the optional small resonator. I like the clearance of the turned-down tip.

At least on my rig, I found the front-end of the main muffler was too close to the hard brake lines. Added some thermal barrier board in this area to prevent the heat from degrading the paint coating on the hard brake lines.

I think that's what the Outlaw kit is basically a straight pipe. The bad thing about all of the exhaust videos is that I can't recall one manual being tested which is what I'll have. Can't stand that transition between gears on an auto but like it with a manual.
Yeah, nothing sounds worse than an automatic with a loud exhaust.

Do you get similar HWY mileage, 22-23mpg?

Just installed the Corsa on my Everglades. I cannot believe people think it's loud at all. Maybe 5dB over stock, just deeper. Noting like the Corsa on my GT350 volume wise. That is wake the dead loud. This is like, 'oh, hi guys. I sound like I have an engine now'. Like the Broncos balls just started to drop. A little.

Went on a walkthrough with a guy w/a Ranger 2.3 how had a catback, and my cousin has a '23 Ram 1500 w/a Catback, and lets not forget my full AFE exhaust (Shorties/Y-pipe/Catback)

Oh, brings back memories. Only good exhaust is my friends V6 Mustang, and that's just a Factory GT Catback w/bbk shorties

Straight through mufflers are supposedly better than chambered for perormance on turbo motors. I got the varex xforce. It's not that loud to me, I almost never close the valve. If there's any drone I can't hear it over the wind noise. Maybe I would go with the MRT trail if I had it to do over agiain. It's 2.5 inch instead of 3 but that's probably enough for a 4 cylinder turbo.
How is the varex xforce? I have an MT and I ve being thinking about this option for while now. Where did you place it? I am thinking in the mid pipe adjacent to the transmission and just simply take out the rear muffler and leave it there. Maybe one of those small slide in turn down to finish it better. How does it sound? Do you have a clip for open and closed? I will love to here it.

2022 Bronco Outerbanks 2.3 26500 miles with MRT axel back exhaust since 5000 miles. Sounds great no drone and didn’t get louder with age. I chose the chrome tip but also comes with a trail friendly
Turn down tip.

I got the cat back system so it just bolted on, minus trimming it for a 2 door and the valve is built into the muffler. I just leave the valve wide open and never really touch it. I mostly just hear intake and turbo noise when I get on it. The turn down tip does seem louder than the straight out the back one. I liked the chrome tip but it seemed to attract tailgaters. Sorry, I don't have a clip, I'm not into taking pictures and stuff too much.
Thanks for the answer. No worries about the video, I understand.
