I think suspension wise, you are correct - less than an additional inch of lift. Having 35" tires on the sasquatch units may help some as well. I would say sasquatch 2 doors feel a bit more softly sprung compared with the standard badlands suspension to my carcass, anyway.

A standard Badlands with 33s will get you a long ways. I did the Bronco Off-Rodeo this past Friday, and there was one standard Badlands in our group - they made it everywhere everyone else did with Sasquatch-equipped Broncos and didn't hit or drag. If you're going to modify anyway, then maybe...

The 2.3L is fun to rev out, and makes good power - also not vibey at higher rpm. I just towed an enclosed motorcycle trailer to and from Thunderhill with mine and turning 3700 rpm in 4th (75 mph) to pull up and over steep slopes on I-80 didn't seem to phase it at all. (2 dr. Badlands, non-SAS)...

Maybe flush the fluid? I don't know the interval Ford recommends for that but should be done every 2 years, generally. When I've seen/smelled this kind of thing on motorcycles with smelly clutches, it's usually been a leaking/weak slave cylinder issue. My 2024 has about 1500 miles on it...
