I traded my ‘23 non sas high ragtop Badlands for a sas lux hardtop ‘25. So far really love it other than losing beautiful Cactus Gray for ugly Swamp Water Brown (aka marsh gray). Really like the new dash-except where are the numbers on the analog speedo????? And they could have put something useful where the now redundant digital speed number lives-almost got it right.

Having the selectable display in the middle is genius-the pitch/roll/etc display is really great. But the previously very useful digital off-road gauges are now analog and virtually unreadable? The turbo boost pressure is inches of mercury!!! With half the scale wasted on negative pressure-which is never very far negative. The one place where digital is actually useful has been wrecked. Or is there a features menu that will select digital readouts?

While on my rant: what happened to the promised and highly-touted Trail App? It was my fav for the 6 months it lived. Its real time pressure gauge really made airing up easy. Yeah, FordPass has pressure readouts but they are not realtime and don’t work without cell access-which is rarely available at air-up sites. Major pain frantically running back and forth between compressor and cockpit. I feel cheated out of a promised feature.

The optimist in me sees that sometimes mistakes can be made, but the pessimist believes in a conspiracy theory where some things are improved so that companies can tout the improvements while some things are deliberately made worse because "if we make it perfect, how will we be able to improve anything to make buyers want newer models?"

I thought the new digital display was supposed to get rid of the analog speedo entirely. (Actually, I thought the new digital display was supposed to be the one that came with my vehicle in the first place.)

Since I have the old one, please include some pics for reference. 🙂

The vacuum part of the boost gauge is inches of mercury, the pressure is still PSI

I know you did the swap to the digital gauge cluster in your Wildtrak, do you know if it’s possible to have the speed sign show? I have a 25 and haven’t been able to find how to turn it on.

Probably not possible. I’m guessing they removed it.
The speed limit sign on the 21-24’s was wrong a lot of the time anyway because it was just based off gps.

Are you sure you’re looking at a 25 models cause all the 25s have digital displays there is no analog display

Indeed! That Ford dashboard "speed limit sign" is inconsistently wrong. Around my town, there are multiple roads that I travel several times a day. Sometimes it is accurate, but then a few hours later it is incorrect -- all on the exact same stretch of road moving in the same direction as when the "limit icon" had the correct information.

🤷‍♂️
This little dashboard icon won't help me win any arguments with my town's police speed traps.

Post pictures. I think folks are getting confused on what you are talking about. At least i am.

Here’s a pic. Note that other than 0 and 120MPH there are no speed marks on the speedo. The needle is on 0 since I wasn’t moving, at 60 MPH I suppose it would be straight up? Note that the gauges are thermometers with no usable fiducial marks other than the extrema? I was wrong about the boost pressure gauge: it shows 30” mercury (about 15psi) on one side and 30psi on the other? If I goose the pedal it momentarily moves half way to 30inHg. I was chief engineer at a major space company, accustomed to enigmas, this one escapes me. Note the words at the bottom: this is the title of my latest email (from Bronco6G telling about your response), my iPhone was not plugged in nor was WiFi turned on—somehow Ford has a backdoor into my personal electronics—spooky View attachment 723495

The dashboard pic is from my Bronco. It says MY25 on the title. Those thermometer style displays are as analog as you can get. No way that I can find to get an actual boost pressure, battery voltage, oil temp reading. All very qualitative representation. I’m very happy with the Tach display, it would be nicer if the speedo had some numbers on its periphery though. The remaining miles display is definitely digital.

“With half the scale wasted on negative pressure-which is never very far negative. “
I thought I remembered that being the case when mine was new but maybe I was only watching it while driving. Now at 1600 miles when I’m stopped and idling it might be 13-15 inches on the vacuum side. Like half of the max vacuum scale. At first I thought it might be a problem but Google AI says that’s normal for the EcoBoost 2.7?

I posted a pic earlier. Maybe it got lost. Here it is again. You can only get a vague idea of temperatures, voltage, boost pressure. The speedo doesn’t even have numbers! There is now a water temp gauge but conveys little information other than it’s too hot

I’ve had mine less than a month and never even realized there weren’t numbers on the speedo. That is kinda odd to have a needle but no numbers.

I’m not sure why you would need numbers around the speedometer, when there’s a giant readout dead center of the speedometer telling you your speed.

Also, the large majority of people driving vehicles have no idea what temperature or other numbers are even normal as far as the rest of the gauges.
For instance, even you don’t understand the boost gauge which is extremely normal for any American made boosted vehicle to have inches of mercury for vacuum and PSI for pressure 🤷‍♂️
Also, just look at all the threads on here that have been posted about people asking “is my +/-200 degree transmission or oil temperature normal?”
So a lot of manufacturers (a long time ago) just started putting “dummy” gauges on the cluster like this so people stop coming to dealerships asking why there gauge is at a certain temperature or readout even though it’s completely normal.

If it’s in the middle, it’s normal. If it’s not, you’ll get a warning. There’s really very little reason for most people to know the exact temperature/readout of the gauges.

At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter how Ford designs the cluster or anything else. They’re never going to make everyone happy

Sorry. No pic.

ok. Best confusion of terms. I think of analog as physical. The 25s have a digital screen with digital gauges. I’m sorry the gauges or speedo are not to your liking but you would’ve seen them during your test drive, if you didn’t like it don’t buy it. Maybe there’s a way to adjust numbers on the gauges, but nobody’s found one yet. Sorry.
