Thanks for sharing, I figured the front lockers might not be needed but the shocks is something I was concerned might be lacking. But if theyโre good enough for the off roading typically of the Northeastern US than I might let it go if it gives me a lower price and more options.
Plus I am sure...
I have been holding out on a 2 Door Bronco Badlands with the 2.7L and the mid package, a local dealership had 3 of them for a good price but the price shot up $8000 while I was waiting on the recall for the shocks, dealer is telling me the earliest it will be ready is August and 5 other people...
I will look at it, lucky the dealer I was talking to has 3 Broncos with the equipment I want at a good price, so I am keeping in constant contact and hoping they will let me know when this recall is done.
I was just concern the one in blue that I want is on the showroom floor.
I will have to check it out, thats an interesting top. I know some aftermarket company was making hardtops for the Bronco that are much better made but I think they only make them for the 4 doors and they're $$$.
I didnt realize the roof design on the Heritage Edition was improved, that is my biggest concern with the Bronco as it gets a lot of complaints. The 4 door with the MIC roof I drove didn't sound too bad but I didn't have a chance to get it over 55 MPH...
Worse case, I will consider the Heritage Edition if my options become limited but I wasn't a big fan of the color combo but if it came down to it, I would buy one as the features I want matter more than the color.
I actually don't mind waiting, as I can put even more money away, more than anything I am worried the dealer won't call me back when they're ready to be sold and someone else will swoop on it.
That's why I wanted to give them money down now so they will reserve it for me but they promised soon...
Yeah I might go for a lower trim if it has the SAS and mid package, I will probably never be rock crawling and can probably live without the sway bar disconnect if I had to. As for used vs new, I am really dead set at buy new at a Ford dealership.
I havenโt bought new in 15 years, I am...
Problem is you can't get both front and rear lockers on that trim nor auto 4, without the Sashquach Package. I might keep my eye out for one with that package if the price is right tho.
Ah damn, I figured replacing the affected components with a completely different make, especially those manufactured by Ford would actually get me around this issue.
Oh well, it was a good thought, I do appreciate pointing out it wouldn't work.
I will have to look at the Wildtrack, I want the Badlands because it has the front/rear lockers on it standard without having to pay $6000 extra for the Sashquach Pkg, the auto 4WD mode, the rubberized floor/vinyl seats and the bash plates underneath. Beyond the electronics found in the mid...
That I may consider since the price with current insensitives is better than I expected, so I am not only worried someone is going to snatch it up before me but that the price will be higher if I finally get a chance to buy.
Yeah I just heard back from the dealer and this is what I was told, they can't even reserve the vehicle for me with a down payment in cash because the incentives will be different by then.
They said I would be called back and they would be ready to process the paperwork soon as the parts are...
Well I was going to call them up and offer to pay them a couple thousand dollars to put a sold sticker on it, have them just call me up to complete the sale when the shocks are installed. I told them the longer it takes, the more time I have to put cash aside for a larger down payment. I thought...
Hey, my name is Chris and I am in the market this year for a Bronco 2 Door Badlands with the 2.7L V6, I actually visited one locally that had everything I wanted but due to a recall on the shocks they couldn't sell it to me. I noticed the Ford website is still showing the "Build Your Own" option...
