Yes and we still have traffic fatalities despite all the airbags in the world. The safety tech is great and I welcome as much of it as possible but it can never replace defensive driving.
Ford performance lift with sas takeoffs and flares should do the trick. Itāll be less than opting for the sas package and if the dealer does your lift it will retain warranty.
Even less expensive option is to have the dealer swap the tires on delivery. Lots of people with 33ā KO2s on stock OBX.
I don't understand the "workin man rig" either. Broncos are neither cheap nor required for someone's occupation/way of life. Ford makes a Ranger for that.
I think a lot of the gripe has to do with a lack of Sas Pkg "affordability" but like you said, those days are long gone. Highly optioned...
This thread fascinates me because itās either people who swear by them on their last 15 trucks or guys who never got them to balance from day one. Maybe thereās significant differences lot to lot?
Traction can be a bit subjective so itās hard to say either way.
Exactly. We have 3 kids and thus need a 5 passenger Bronco. The space is great and checks every box for us.
I'll consider a two door when I'm an empty nester or have enough money for an "extra" vehicle. Nothing wrong with them, just not a fit for most people.
You nailed it. I think covid is a good excuse to flip the script on how we buy vehicles.
Gone are the days of huge dealer inventory, 0% financing, and 5k on the hood. We're moving to a built to order model where MSRP and long waits are the norm.
You're not off base at all. I had the same feeling as you going with lux.
Planning to keep this Bronco to the bitter end and I think a 12" infotainment will age better over the next decade. I'll do the whole lift and 35's thing once the warranty is up, didn't really need all the sas hardware...
Don't assume I'm giving OP a hard time. I came from a sedan and it was a huge adjustment on the highway.
If OP told us he drove Wranglers and hot rods his entire life, I'd tell him to dive into those guides. If he's just one of thousands of people adjusting to his first removable top vehicle...
