  1. New correct dipstick (here's part number) solves 2.7L 7-quarts engine oil capacity / maximum fill amount mystery! 🕵🏻‍♂️

He would be close in assuming that it’s the same as the 3.5L EcoBoost since the part number is almost the same: ML3Z-6750-B The Nano (2.7 & 3.0) dipstick in the Explorer/Aviator and F-150 is: L1MZ-6750-A Anything else that isn’t a Bronco that has the 2.7L or 3.0L would be using the FT4Z-6750-A...
  2. New correct dipstick (here's part number) solves 2.7L 7-quarts engine oil capacity / maximum fill amount mystery! 🕵🏻‍♂️

I’ll be pretty honest most techs that would be using the dipstick the most are usually contracted employees. And also they generally would do exactly as the spec sheet says for oil fill I doubt they even focus specifically on what the dipstick says: drain oil, fill with 7 quarts, done. It’s not...
  3. New correct dipstick (here's part number) solves 2.7L 7-quarts engine oil capacity / maximum fill amount mystery! 🕵🏻‍♂️

I will be going to my dealer tomorrow to order one. Also I really don’t think this is an existing stick used from elsewhere. The part, and engineering number specifically, are for the Bronco. Though while I didn’t look extremely deep I didn’t find any correlating data to point to another...
  4. UPDATE FORD DIRECTIVE ON 7QUARTS FILL. Dealership Service fiasco! Ford If You're Listening!

Hell replace a quart of new oil with marvels mystery oil and run the car for 10 minutes, oil is black
  5. OEM Tube doors rock!

As a Ford employee this grinds me seeing these are actually the finished product. These are exactly how they looked over a year ago in testing and it wasn’t impressive then, certainly embarrassing now. I’m extremely disappointed and I’m so sorry this is how a product has been delivered.
  6. Bronco Team Engineering Confirms 7.0 Quarts for 2.7L Engine Oil Change is Correct

From tracing back engineering numbers internally in the system yes. The one stamped into the current dipstick would be for a FWD application. I did some searching on YouTube of the only model I could even find on the subject and it looked exactly like the dipstick used in a Fusion Sport 2.7...
  7. Bronco Team Engineering Confirms 7.0 Quarts for 2.7L Engine Oil Change is Correct

MB3Z is the part number you would order from your dealer. What is actually stamped onto the stick is the engineering number (MB3E). The engineering number can be used by your dealer to find the part number as well. Same but different basically. The part number provided is correct though I...

  9. UPDATE FORD DIRECTIVE ON 7QUARTS FILL. Dealership Service fiasco! Ford If You're Listening!

Make a fuss. They installed a Fusion Sport dipstick (or some variant of a 6 quart capacity FWD 2.7L). That’s absurd and I’m actually infuriated that even passed. They told us for the longest time it was fine but I should have done more research.
  10. UPDATE FORD DIRECTIVE ON 7QUARTS FILL. Dealership Service fiasco! Ford If You're Listening!

This info is correct, 7 quarts is the fill. The dipstick however is not correct. From what I can find the dipstick was a carryover part from the 2.7 FWD variant. The proper dipstick, while getting awareness back in September, didn’t make it to production models until Job 2 for 2022 (5/9/2022)...
  11. Bronco Team Engineering Confirms 7.0 Quarts for 2.7L Engine Oil Change is Correct

Just want to point out that the engineering header classifies it specifically as a 2.7L Nano RWD U725 so I don’t actually think anything was reused from a 3.5L but I am also not saying that’s absolute either.

  13. Bronco Team Engineering Confirms 7.0 Quarts for 2.7L Engine Oil Change is Correct

I don't write these things so I'm educationally guessing but I believe the first B is platform specific and the second B would designate an individual change (revision) but I could be wrong. Some info below that I am trying to correlate the best I can. It could be the first B is revision and...
