  1. Bronco Team Engineering Confirms 7.0 Quarts for 2.7L Engine Oil Change is Correct

That's the existing part number? I figured if it was updated it would end in C (A for 2.3 and B for 2.7) granted that doesn't mean anything since they could be phasing out the old one if this was truly retooled for 2022 Job 2. If it is in fact different, then the engineering number stamped on...
  2. Bronco Team Engineering Confirms 7.0 Quarts for 2.7L Engine Oil Change is Correct

We had powertrain done long before Covid occurred, before even we had a working cab to put on the frame. Work from home wasn’t established then. The only things really left when Covid did come was crash testing and production tooling trials/systems verification. We are now inundated with people...
  3. Use for the door latch push/pull "lock" button?

It’s redundancy. Considering the rather “extreme” scope of capability the Bronco was built for and what owners might put it through I’m not sure why you have so much concern with it. Ford has been placing mechanical backups in door mechanisms since they started doing electronic releases and...
  4. Got my Ford Tube Doors secret part number and installed

Glad to see these making their way into the wild. Disappointed to see the build construction still looks rather sub-par. I'm specifically referring to the welds. When we got them in on some of the test vehicles I just assumed it was because they were just being hand assembled and welded for...
  5. Bronco Team Engineering Confirms 7.0 Quarts for 2.7L Engine Oil Change is Correct

The Bronco nano has a slightly different reinforcement skirt. The challenge here is that the 3.5 is just a totally different architecture. The Nano engines utilize a two piece block design with variations in the skirt depending upon vehicle model.
  6. Bronco Team Engineering Confirms 7.0 Quarts for 2.7L Engine Oil Change is Correct

I don’t have any answers I don’t get the luxury of knowing customer issue resolution. I hear about them long after the fact (re-tooling order was submitted in September 2021). I drive vehicles and acquire data for development so this is out of my realm. Just trying to help and pass along what I...
  7. Bronco Team Engineering Confirms 7.0 Quarts for 2.7L Engine Oil Change is Correct

The surface tension created by the twist resting against a drain back hole directly next to the protruding dipstick created an artificially high level. Tooling was resubmitted to move the height of the twist not change the length of the dipstick. But this is what the documentation has stated...
  8. Bronco Team Engineering Confirms 7.0 Quarts for 2.7L Engine Oil Change is Correct

From what I’ve been told the twist has been moved higher up to avoid accumulating drainback oil causing issues with reading the oil level
  9. Official: 2022 Bronco Raptor gets 418 HP / 440 Lb-ft !!

During development we only saw 400/430 for the power figure of the PP. This might be the regular fuel numbers then
  10. Official: 2022 Bronco Raptor gets 418 HP / 440 Lb-ft !!

Yes, on the media page for the Bronco Raptor. The original release reads 400 horsepower* which is followed up at the bottom with *Horsepower rating based on premium fuel per SAE J1349® standard. Your results may vary...

I’m genuinely curious if this tooling revision (pending it happened) even accomplishes anything.
  12. Official: 2022 Bronco Raptor gets 418 HP / 440 Lb-ft !!

Never was mentioned internally that they made any changes to the transmission outside of some specific tuning because of 37” tires
