Remember how it wouldn’t affect anything and it was just a few thousand Broncos and everyone was making a big deal out of nothing and Ford would never screw over its beloved reservation holders
Yes, their leading competitor somehow manufactured and sold 69k Wranglers this quarter (nearly ten times as many Broncos as Ford has produced at all) but the supply chain. Covid. There’s nothing different Ford could have done.
The problem is they’ve kind of blown past the glowing reviews part of the news cycle with none to sell. Now begins the slow trickle of articles chronicling problems. Same thing happened with the RS except they had more time to ride the positive reviews before the shit hit the fan. This could...
What you said in no way applies to denigrating then when they actually do something helpful. I get the whole HURR DURR I hate the gubmint thing, but you sound like a real big fan of child labor right now. Give it a rest this one time, you might like it.
That’s possible for sure. Surely though there is a workaround for that. Dealer financing ordered soft tops into the package I wouldn’t think their contract could do anything about.
This makes perfect sense but the problem is that it would cost a lot of money and alternatively they could just do nothing and piss people off and the trucks will eventually sell anyway to some rando on the street and they don’t have to pay any money. They’re not going to do much of anything to...
Is this communication going to involve Ford eating some crow? I think them taking a little responsibility for this mess instead of pinning it on everything under the sun but themselves would go a long way with a lot of folks, myself included.
Ford is and has for awhile been only speaking to shareholders, not customers. They’re just saying things to make the stock prices rise. It’s the same reason why they did this half brained “reservation” system. Just to brag about how many reservations there are to raise stock prices regardless of...
You’re not supposed to deep throat the boot. Plenty of other manufacturers have been just fine, and Ford has comically screwed up multiple launches in recent history before COVID. They just aren’t good at this right now. Please feel free to blame the COVID supply chain for an Explorer that leaks...
I am VERY curious to see if the sanding and painting has any effect on the honeycombing. It should either mostly stop it or make it way worse. My money is on the latter given the thickness of paint relative to the MIC material but we’ll see. Fingers crossed it fixes it!
I’ve got serious doubt about the combination of Ford’s design and the ability of the personnel/tooling at Webasto to make this top at all. I think if it were doable it would have been done by now, especially after Ford’s takeover earlier in the year. I’d love to be wrong but I think that Ford...
