  1. Car and Driver Review: 2021 Bronco Goes Big, Sticks the Landing (w/ tested acceleration & MPG figures)

Some people just wish they had embiggened the engine a bit more from the factory
  2. [Update 7/30] Ready to roll: MAP readies for "full speed" Bronco production as questions loom

This. The engineers and line workers knew the Focus/Fiesta DCT was a complete lie. They screamed to upper management. They didn’t care. They’re the ones people are upset with this time too, not everyone else.
  3. Here starts the dealer games

To quote the Batman: “They know. They just don’t care.”
  4. Updated 7/29 [Engine Seized, Full Replacement Under Warranty] My Bronco shut down after sand dunes run

Too right. There aren’t any capable off-road vehicles available from other manufacturers with tops that aren’t disintegrating. A shame, really
  5. Video: closeup looks at some MIC tops today at dealer

My wife’s Challenger does so at some point they started. I should clarify that all MODERN cars (that I know of) with frameless windows have this.
  6. Drag Race by TFL: Bronco First Edition 2.7L vs. Jeep Wrangler 4XE vs. Toyota FJ

OP wasn’t using it to describe a single object, was he? He was explicitly using it to contrast two vehicles. Did you read the post? “Fast” can’t be used as a subjective term to describe just one object without context of other, similar objects. If it is, literally anything capable of movement is...
  7. Drag Race by TFL: Bronco First Edition 2.7L vs. Jeep Wrangler 4XE vs. Toyota FJ

Let’s go with the Oxford Dictionary definition: “1. moving or capable of moving at high speed” Maybe you can indicate which word here describes “feel” or “butt dyno”. My grasp of the word is just fine, thanks.
  8. Video: closeup looks at some MIC tops today at dealer

All cars with frameless windows on doors do. It’s a necessity so the glass doesn’t shatter when you close the door.
  9. Drag Race by TFL: Bronco First Edition 2.7L vs. Jeep Wrangler 4XE vs. Toyota FJ

I think the answer lies with transmission choice, gearing, axles, and tire size.
  10. Drag Race by TFL: Bronco First Edition 2.7L vs. Jeep Wrangler 4XE vs. Toyota FJ

Despite the drag race posed by this video, your subjective feel of your 2.0 Rubicon has literally no bearing on the speed of the Bronco. It’s not fast. The 2.0 Rubicon isn’t fast either. I’ve driven one. It’s not fast. Maybe it’s a little faster than the Bronco, maybe it isn’t. But it’s not...
  11. Drag Race by TFL: Bronco First Edition 2.7L vs. Jeep Wrangler 4XE vs. Toyota FJ

Not every negative thing that ever happens is someone shilling for a competitor. Be realistic about the product. It’s going to have some flaws. The Bronco just is. Not. Fast. It was never going to be. People got high on their own farts over the HP and TQ numbers and forgot to check the weight...
  12. Drag Race by TFL: Bronco First Edition 2.7L vs. Jeep Wrangler 4XE vs. Toyota FJ

I mean they did put the 10R60 in there. Just wait until people start grenading transmissions with tunes like they did in the RS. It’s coming.
  13. Drag Race by TFL: Bronco First Edition 2.7L vs. Jeep Wrangler 4XE vs. Toyota FJ

The Bronco just isn’t very fast. It’s fine. It doesn’t need to be. It was stupid to begin with that everyone was talking about how much faster it was going to be than the Jeep. No one should care. But the excuses for it are getting a little silly. It’s just slow. People just need to figure out...
  14. Here starts the dealer games

The situations are actually perfectly opposite. The similarity is actually between people blaming the owner for those problems you mentioned and people defending the dealership because we don’t know the whole story. People who attack the dealership do so because there IS NO JUSTIFICATION. There...
  15. Here starts the dealer games

…you know the dealer in question has more or less acknowledged that it happened, right? What’s the “whole story” that justifies this kind of conduct? Is this why Ford has the worst dealer network in terms of ADM of any manufacturer I’ve ever seen? People try to defend them even when they pull...
  16. Video: closeup looks at some MIC tops today at dealer

Smart man. Funny how literally every RS owner I’ve talked to has some variation of this story. I was on my third trip to the dealer for my definitely sealant related oil leak which I informed them about each time but simply HAD to wait for them to replace the oil feed line and the banjo bolt...
  17. Video: closeup looks at some MIC tops today at dealer

I’m with several other posters on this. I think the top design, whether inherently or through manufacturing difficulties, is flawed. Ford needs to let it go, cop to their mistake, and ship them with soft tops. It is going to be a black eye on the product at this point - Ford can either get out...
