Black Bear was actually mentioned in the meeting as well. They said that almost all of the debris from the rockslide has been cleared up. That doesn't mean it will open for sure, but it's a good sign.
Keep in mind that is the Telluride side. When I was there in September last year, I spoke...
Full disclosure, I posted this on the San Juan Mountains Trails Group on Facebook as well. I know it is near and dear to many Bronco6g folks as well, so I wanted to share some info on Imogene Pass that I got from a recent BOCC meeting recording.
I know we're all anxiously awaiting news on...
Just seconding what others have mentioned:
Onion Creek is a pretty mild trail with some really awesome views. Towards the end you can continue through to some tougher things if you want, too.
I highly recommend the high-clearance trail in Arches which goes to Eye of the Whale Arch. It's...
I have two trips planned:
May - solo trip to Carbondale, CO, Flaming Gorge, UT, and Moab. I'll be doing a bunch of camping and a couple nights in cabins here and there for showers. I'll be arriving in Moab on a Wednesday and I hope I can get lucky enough to snag one of the...
Yup! iPhone 14 and later support calling for emergency help via satellite, and if you have iOS 18 installed, you can also send SMS and iMessages.
I haven't tried the messaging yet, but last year when I was in Moab and Colorado, I was able to use satellite to update my location with people back...
For sure - definitely check your statements every month. I have to fight my credit union nearly every time I make a principal only payment because they keep just applying it as a regular payment, even though I submit it as principal only.
I also tried mailing in a check with payment stub...
Thanks for posting this, the rattle on the drivers side has been driving me nuts. I picked up some 2mm black craft foam and cut out squares, and put them on the pins on the front and middle section of the roof on the drivers side. Poof, rattle has been gone for several days, even in the super...
I have been waiting for RokBlokz mud flaps to go on sale, since they seem to never have deals. They are 20% off with code BFCM25.
I know there are lots cheaper options, but I want ones that can be removed quickly.
Hi all,
I have now been to Moab 3 times and Ouray twice. Are there any other major off road destinations I'm missing out on?
I love the atmosphere of these two places - when I'm not on the trails, I'm drinking beer and watching all the cool rigs go by. Already planning on going back next year...
I only use it on long trips, I don't like the way it "helps" you through turns and stuff day-to-day. It has been useful as a safety tool when I'm on road trips in unfamiliar areas though.
I had some issues checking out with both Paypal and regular credit card, sent y'all an email through your contact form - hoping to get a temp exception.
Edit: All good, just had to play musical devices/web browsers and it finally worked.
