I'm interested in this too, I thought once they were turned on the first time that they would come on automatically whenever the headlights turn on.
I use the auto setting anyways so they don't turn on during the day.
Did they give you an offer to buy it back as salvage?
Just curious, I know the price would be high - but a dedicated tube frame off-roader with Bronco powertrain would be sweet.
Thanks y'all, it came out easy and went back in easy.
Bad news is that I still haven't fixed the rattle - back to the drawing board. I'm tempted to take this stupid door back to the dealer and ask for a whole new one, the rattle every time I hit a small bump is driving me nuts.
Thanks! It all came off in one piece and looks like it'll go back on fine.
Even better news is I think I found the source of my door rattle - this stupid plastic bracket that just keeps a wire out of the way of the window. I stuffed some foam from a gun case in between the bracket and the...
Morning y'all,
I am chasing a door rattle that the dealer "can't duplicate". It happens with the door panel off, so the next step is to start rooting around inside the door.
I already went through the holes with my inspection camera and can't see anything, so next I need to pull back this...
I left it in 4A all winter and didn't notice any significant drop in mileage. I stick to 2A otherwise unless off-road.
My completely uneducated thought is that I'm saving the clutches for where I need them most.
I have a Mini 2 in both the front and rear of my Bronco, and they do sync up - I can choose to export video of the front with the back camera included with picture-in-picture if I want.
The app is slow as hell to export, but does work. Just have to disable wireless CarPlay to get it to connect.
I have a Garmin Dashcam Mini 2 in both the front and the rear.
In the front i used a power adapter than goes inbetween the power connector for the mirror and the mirror itself, and gives you USB power. No running cables and turns on automatically with ignition. Best part is behind the mirror...
This thread makes me feel like a total poser - I sat in a Bronco for the first time in fall 2022 and couldn't order then as the banks were all filled up. Didn't bother with a test drive, I knew right then. The dealer only had two and were marked up $10K.
Ordered spring 2023 the day the banks...
There are tons of off-road specific rental companies in Moab - most of the name brand companies don't even allow you to leave pavement if you read the fine print.
Imogene Pass was my first ever trail as a near-total newbie (see profile pic).
I went pretty slowly and methodically and didn't tickle the skids or rock rails once.
The next day I did Mineral Creek and gave them a good whack, though! It was a much tougher trail.
I'm with you on this - I think a one piece body color top would be an awesome option for the people who would only occasionally remove the top. Extra sound deadening/etc.
