What was the cost of install? I've done my own wrenching on a lot of things, but never a differential. I'd probably have it done.
Thanks (sorry to go off topic).
Buyers are pretty rare right now on just about anything. Look at the amount of credit-card debt the average consumer has. They have all blown through their "Covid savings"... and more.
Average debt per consumer = $6,300. Average Interest Rate = 23%.
Its the American way!
I think my late 2022 2Dr/V6/auto Base would be considered rare. Wish I would have SAS'd it, but still rare, and can get 22-24 MPG. I think I paid $35,600 for it as-is.
Thinking of an Eaton limited-slip diff. Then definitely rare.
Well, if Ford says it is "normal"... I'd spend a grand or two get an extended 100,000 mile Ford warranty. Give you a bit of peace-of-mind.
I assume that would be possible at this point. Probably a lot cheaper (at least here in CA) than trading for something else and having to pay the tax...
You make a good point. For me... I'd like a one-piece top, but have the rear window go down into the tailgate... kind of like the old 4Runners.
Its all about air-flow...
I wish Ford would have made an option where the roof panels couldn't be removed. One beautiful solid top. I would have ordered that one, and it would have saved costs and gotten rid of a lot of these problems.
Being in NorCal... I don't really want the sun on me that much. Doors off is...
I've gotten 25 on the highway with my 2Dr 2.7/auto Base. Changed out the 16s for OBX tires and rims... so my readouts were always multiplied by (32/30)... No forscan change, and the tires are set at 37 lbs. Usually 22-23, but I got 25 on my last trip.
I've got a 2Dr late 2022 Base. Windows seem quiet enough, but there is a noise that seems to come from the passenger-side top just in back of front-passenger seat... starting at about 60 mph.
Question -- Is there a list anywhere of folks who have worked on their hardtops (a 2dr in my case)...
When doing 95% highway (about 70 mph) I get about 23 MPG in Normal mode.
When I do "mostly city" driving I get about 17.5-18.0 mpg in Normal mode.
I have a late 2022 Base 2Dr with V6/auto, and about 9,000 miles on it with 3.73 gearing. I switched out Base tires for OBX stock 32s on 18" rims...
Toyota does what Toyota does... they keep building bigger and bigger 4wds. They figure that is what is wanted. I expect to see one the size of a 60 passenger school bus in about 10 years.
I've got a 2-door V6/auto Bronco. I don't see ANY TOYOTA to match it in the USA.
I've owned 2 FJ40s in...
I would think $1000 would be a no-brainer; $1500 starts to look a little iffy.
However, I'd wait until Spring/Summer if you have storage space. That would probably add a few hundred extra miles to someone's search radius just because folks don't plan on too many trips during winter, where as a...
Back to the original (modified) question.... has anybody put on an eLocker or LSD with the 3.73. What are the options here? Is something available in a 3.73 for Bronco?
I thought about doing it, but am not willing to change out the front diff just to use a 4.xx rear locker or LSD.
I...
Well, the amps are based on the formula P=IxE, or I=P/E where amps=I, E=voltage, and P=watts.
If you have lights that take 100 watts then Amps=100/12=8.3 amps continuous.
However, this accounts for the amps going through the wire, but there may be an amp-surge when you are just turning the...
I agree on the suspension mods. When I was looking for a Wrangler a few years ago I'd pass on them if they had a lift. Who knows how it was done????
In regard to value... Get an offer from Carmax, Carfax, or some other dealer you can easily get an offer from. See what your Bronco is really...
I had a rotation done last week (Nor-Cal). They only do 4-tire rotations.
The dealer screwed up the torque settings so bad (over-torqued) on two wheels, that I had to loosen and torque everything on all 4s myself anyway. Not sure what would happen if I had a flat without my impact wrench...
Just got back from the Ford dealer in Dixon, CA. About 20-30 4-doors on the lot, and only 2 two-door Broncos (one Heritage with leather, and one other green something). I wouldn't say there are a lot of 2-doors on the lot.
Guess I'll keep my Base 2Dr V6/auto. I was thinking of a red or blue...
