  1. Side Mirror Replacements... With Something Else!?

That would be my guess... as I do have a Base. The driver-side is quite useful. The passenger-side seems to be aimed wrong by default. I wish it wasn't there... or that I could change the angle on it somehow.
  2. Side Mirror Replacements... With Something Else!?

So... reading on the Suma site (which has very sparse info)... what do you actually get for $190? Two convex pieces of mirror-glass with tape? Replacement housing, etc? Are you able to get rid of the mini-convex mirror on the standard mirror? If you had the install-guide that you could...
  3. Side Mirror Replacements... With Something Else!?

I like just about everything about my Base 2Dr... Except The Side Mirrors! Are there any other options? My Back Story... I was back in Wisconsin last week, and was riding with my brother in his 2012 F150. He tows his Escape Room Trailer with it (his business). I REALLY LIKED the F150 mirrors...
  4. Looking for Step Sliders for my 2 Dr.

What is the approximate height of the running boards you currently have, and what is the height you think would work for your wife? I guess that measurement should be from the bottom of the door... since your tire-size may vary. I have Clamber C3 running boards, but have no idea of the height...
  5. Full size Bronco??? Anyone… Anyone???

The Bronco IS A FULL-SIZED Bronco. I'd rather see one a bit smaller. Maybe a shorter wheelbase, or maybe just smaller. I used to have an 89 Mitsu Montero, and know the guy I sold it to. My current Bronco looks about 30% bigger than that. Or look at a 2-door Wrangler. Much shorter wheelbase...
  6. Would you let the 2.3 be a dealbreaker ?

I got a 2.7 auto. I'm happy with it. However, if you look under-the-hood... the 2.3 looks a lot cleaner, and has one less turbo to break down... in addition to the cam phasers. Before mine showed up (but after I ordered the 2.7)... I drove a 2.3 Ranger/auto and was quite pleased with the...
  7. So the hardtops are getting an (akward) award...

My top (2Dr) for my late 2022 is working just fine. Keeping an eye on it though...
  8. Wrangler vs. Bronco sales Q2 2024

Well... the new EVERYTHINGS are all too expensive. Thanks for the inflation -- government! Glad I got my 22 2Dr Base with auto and V6 for $35K I'll be keeping it a long time.
  9. Door Ding Protection?

This is EXACTLY the reason I bought Clamber running-boards/rock sliders for my 2Dr. I don't know how good they are for rock-sliders (they do seem to have an effective mount), but I bought them personally for three reasons: 1. They look pretty good. 2. Door ding protection... although a 4wd...
  10. 10-speed transmission issue? need help diagnosing

Well, as a former software engineer (now retired)... newer doesn't always mean bug-free. The more complex a system (the Bronco) is... the harder it is to test out every scenario that might cause a problem. That's just the way it is. I guess I mentioned what happened to me with my older...
  11. 10-speed transmission issue? need help diagnosing

Not directly related, but I had a 2001 Mustang that would start having problems. After a lot of troubleshooting... what seemed to work best was disconnecting the battery for 10-20 minutes to force a relearn of everything. After that -- everything worked fine. Seemed like I had to do that...
  12. How much are stock OBX wheels worth?

Well, I have a 2-Door non-SAS base and I upgraded to OBX tires/rims about 1.5 years ago. The guy said they had stock TPMS in them (he lied). I paid 450 for the 5 tires + rims. Considering the price of tires these days, and since I'm 99% a highway driver... I'm happy enough with the OBX setup...
  13. TPMS 315MHz or 433Mhz

I went with the Schrader TPMS, because I heard they supply a lot of OEM ones, and since I had to have them installed for $$$... I went with a name-brand that I thought would work. Don't know if that makes a difference. They worked fine although I did get them programmed when I got them...
  14. Goodbye 35’s!

Kind of what I did... only with a 2Dr Base and the 2.7/auto combo. I put on OBX rims/tires, and am getting 24 MPG. I would have liked to have gone with the Big Bend, 4.27 and an eLocker, but I decided that for how much off-road I do (which is nothing at this point)... I would be best suited...
  15. Big Bend, "Cheap lift," 35" tires - stress on drive train?

Well, putting 35s with 3.73 gearing seems pretty tall... but if that is what the dealer put on before selling it to you... doesn't that put the problem squarely on them for the next six years? Seems like it should... unless there is wording in your contract stating otherwise.
  16. "200 Days" of Inventory on the Lot

I love my late 2022 2-Door Bronco. Base with 2.7/Auto and OBX tires/rims. I think I have a total of 42k into it, and that includes the high sales taxes in CA, and a 7-year extended contract. I think the pricing minus taxes and extended was 36. So glad I got it... but then I've always been a...
  17. Bronco build quality

I went and looked at the Jeeps in your post. Wow! $4500 for an automatic transmission, and I didn't even see where you could add on rear-lockers anymore (used to be about 500-700) without going up a model. I've had 2 2-door jeeps, and now the 2-door Bronco. Each had their good points...
  18. How many windshields (including replacements) have you gone through?

About 6200 miles and still OK. Mostly highway driving. I try to stay away from trucks (leave a lane between Bronco and truck), and don't tailgate. I figure you either got to be right on someones butt, or way back. I choose way back. I will admit though... in my old Toyota pickup I've gotten...
  19. Road noise?

My 2022 Dr (Base) is more quiet than my wife's 2016 Forester (by a lot). I do get that small wind-sound @ 70 MPH, but overall I'm quite happy with the sound deadening. I've got OBX tires/wheels on mine... and I don't get any tire noise to worry about. Not sure what a SAS 2Dr sounds like.
  20. Ford claims flat towing our 4 mo. old Bronco destroyed the transmission (not covering under warranty)

You know... with all the complexity and all the complaints... I would never consider flat-towing my auto bronco. I'd go to CL and buy one of the many trailers and just get all 4 wheels off the ground. You can find a decent used one for < 4K. Or... find an old Jeep with a standard transmission...
