And here I thought it was a ghost from my 2016 Wrangler that I was seeing in reverse. Good to know Ford will slay this "blue or black ghost" at some point in the future.
I went and looked at a 2025 Badlands 2-door, but the option said it included 4-doors. I guess I don't know what that is... a 2Dr 4Dr.
Maybe that is why they have a $695 "acquisition fee". Its hard to find a 2-door 4-door.
I"ve got a 22 Base 2Dr/V6/Auto. I love it. Wish I would have SAS it, but I didn't.
I think you are right on with your choice. Why pay more? I'd even go with the 4cyl engine. It looks cleaner under the hood, and one less turbo to break down in the future.
My MPG is 22-25 on the road. That...
I have a 2Dr Bronco. I couldn't imagine trading it for a 4-door anything (including a Bronco... much less a Toyota). I got the V6/auto though. Love that!
Maybe you're just a 4-door guy at heart. Maybe that is where you belong.
My big question on the Toyota engine (I'm too lazy to look)...
I've said this before, and I'll say it again... buy a trailer for your Bronco.
Flat-towing is like playing Russian roulette. 5, 10, 20 times it may work perfectly, but its that last one time that will bite you and cost many thousands.
Ford obviously hasn't found what road issues translate...
Late 2022 2Dr Base with 11,000 miles on it. V6/auto. Put on OBX tires and wheels. 22-24 MPG (calculated) on the highway. Fastest 4WD I've ever owned, and a lot of fun.
No problems at all. No MIC hardtop problems, no nothing problems. I've got the recall notice for the backup camera, but...
Yep. I just looked and saw some baby moons. Too bad I sold my steelies... I'd try em out. I think they make steelies look cool (but then I'm from the 60s-70s).
I have a 22 2Dr Base, but swapped the steelies for OBX rims/tires. For a while I was looking for those moon covers for my steelies,,, but didn't find any. That's how I remember the original 60s/70s Broncos. Does anyone else remember (or was that a one-off that I remember somebody putting...
Getting back to the original subject of jack-stands...
Maybe I'm a bit paranoid... but I always have two jack-stands under the car in any place I'm working... or one jack stand and the jack itself left in place.
I figure I'm worth it. I don't care who manufactured it. Everyone has bad days...
I think MurryDog11 and AMCUNC90 Broncos look fine with OBX rims. Having a 2-door the Coopers might e where I go next... but only after the current ones wear down a bit more.
Can't tell from Fast Eddies picture... too far away.
Question -- any MPG difference with the Coopers or the Falkens?
I sold my Base steelies and bought some OBX wheels/tires for $400. Installing new TPMS I think I was up to $700 -$400 for Base tires/wheels.
I am happy enough, but then I don't go off road much.
I have a 22 V6/auto 2Dr with (now) 32s on it, and get consistently 22-24 MPG. I guess that is my...
I see 23-24 MPG with my Base 2Dr V6/auto every now-and-then (after tire calculations). That's with OBX tires & rims and about 37-38 lbs of air in the tires at about 68 MPH (actual after computation)... on the highway in NorCal.
Hard to calculate wind (obviously).
Lets face it... with the 3.73...
Wow... that alignment cost seems about 2x what it would be here in Nor-Expensi-fornia... but not at the Ford dealer.
Musing... I almost got the 4-cyl engine because I was worried about the twin-turbo cost. In retrospect... maybe that would have been the smart thing. Engine compartment looks...
Is it real at this point... or just AI? And I didn't see the pricing other than "under $20K with government subsidies."
Questions (which I'm sure they love the buzz over...
1. Is it real right now?
2. How much does the "top", and extra-large battery cost?
3. Where would I get it fixed?
Quality in a vehicle... is a mindset and a process. Just because its made in the USA doesn't mean that it doesn't have quality, and just because it is built in Germany or Japan doesn't mean it does have quality. Its really what your standards are.
In regard to tariffs... I think bringing...
In regard to tariffs... Shawn Fain (UAW head) was on talking heads yesterday. Said American auto factories are only at 65%. They could build a lot more here in short order (not years). His example was a RAM 1500 factory that just went to Mexico... that will probably now come back here.
I'm...
