Ill poke around. I haven't heard of any myself, aside from the vehicles I work on, and it's mostly faulty injectors from the factiory, and the buildup on the DI Fits, no cylinder head issues.
Plenty of DI vehicles on the roads these days, and I haven't heard of any of them needing valve jobs. Ive walnut blasted some Honda Fit valves for carbon deposits causing issues, but no serious head issues, yet.
2.3 is fine in the Broncos. I chose 2.3 because I wanted the 7mt. Makes plenty of power for me. Add some premium fuel for a few extra ponies, or the Ford tune.
Not doing anything wrong. These rigs are blocky and fat, and will not have as high mpg compared to other vehicles.
That being said, your driving habits also play a role. Easy gas, easy brake, stay out of boost. If I'm trying, I can get 18.5mpg in my Badlands 7mt with bigger tires. Saw 20mpg...
It sounds crazy that Ford dealers are so backed up that owners are waiting weeks to months to get their rig fixed. Meanwhile, the not Ford dealer I work for, pushes us to crank out all the appointments same day. Course Ford has a much larger fleet compared to Honda's 8 rig lineup.
Sorry to hear about the fire, but that's good it is repairable. I'm curious as to what actually caused the fire. Radiator or intercooler sounds pretty unlikely. Maybe a random piece of paper sat on the exhaust for a bit and lit up.
I had a car come in to the shop a while back. "Car cranks but...
I say the hubcaps, that way the horses look like theyre rolling down the street.
Not sure where else on the exterior the horses would look good. I think one on the tailgate is sufficient. Put one up at work, to show the love.
Interesting. Just a characteristic of the 5 link setup maybe? Great video. I remember RK saying a while back that they were working on big things, game changers for the Bronco.
Is that "kick" the modified roll center after lifting the Broncos? After lifting mine I noticed more body roll(no rear sway bar), until I added the RJ track bar bracket, and made an incredible difference in handling.
Good point.
A co-worker scored a 23 WT with ADD bumpers, ICON lift kit, wheels with 37's, body wrap, ALL THE LIGHTS, for damn near MSRP. Traded in at 6k after dropping what, 17k worth of parts on it.
