I like this solution and bet it keeps out light rain when camping. I bought magnetic mosquito screen doors for $15 from Amazon (lots of option) that worked perfectly for overnight camping to get fresh air. They arenāt great for rain and you canāt drive with them installed though.
The rod holders were great for trolling up and down the beach. Very sturdy on the expressway too. I used a 6ā bungee cord for added security, but it didnāt seem necessary. The rods slide in there really tight.
My next vehicle will likely be an EV Bronco. My current Bronco will go in to storage where I will make it like new again, as a retired man (whenever that happens).
This plan makes me smile.
Iām interested in this too. Have Badlands with 33s and would like the lift and look of 35s but not the poke. Some poke is fine but the #1 reason I stayed with 33s is that I didnāt want the wider stance for 99% of my usage (around town). 10.5 or 11.5 seem like ideal options, but Iāve only read...
Think they came in on Sunday and stayed out at the point. Huge camp, we thought it was a Toyota group since it was mostly Tacomas and 4Runners. We stayed down by the jetty for spear fishing but the point is awesome. Can see sunrise in one direction, sunset in the other. Pretty amazing. We plan...
Cape Lookout, NC three night camping trip. Only accessible by ferry and 4X4. Caught some sheepās head and black bass spear fishing. Ate surf and turf that night, like a $100 plate at a good seafood place.
I slept in the Bronco on my deep sleep mats.
Installed them on my cactus gray Badlands, looks like it was the original design when combined with a soft top (where there isnāt as much matching plastic).
Not as sure it would look good with a hardtop.
The standard fitting screws on to the tire stem, which takes time/effort and risks cross threading. An air chuck is quick, easy and cheap. However the Smittybilt requires air to continue flowing or it will overheat/shut off. Some guys redo the compressor to prevent this with the advantage of...
Thereās a whole lot of BS in this thread. I analyzed engines after different duty cycles with different oils in a lab, as an engine engineer. By far the #1 factor is driving conditions, once you rule out conventional oil. If you drive highway speeds for 15+ minutes often (like 3-5 days a week)...
Same, even the ax looks like mine. Wish the table had more depth as others noted. Overall, the molle is simply a must for any table. I use that more than the table itself. Tough to install, but no rattle at all after 8 months.
I also like that it has a solid backing. No concern about...
I had the hard top specād for over a year before realizing I was spending half my energy trying to make it more easily convertible. Changed to soft top, bingo presto, itās great. The single best Bronco decision Iāve made. No, itās not perfect, pretty sweet though.
Hitting the door handle button is a mess. Sometimes I hear the door lock, but often the lights blink to show it recognizes contact but the doors donāt lock )or at least it doesnāt sound like locking).
I end up having to hit the door handle button multiple times before hearing the lock sound...
I have a Nike swoosh on my hood where a hose must have slid across before the clear coat application. Ceramic coating made it pretty hard to see, but at the right angle itās obvious. Probably 2 feet long and 1.5ā wide in spots so not a small thing.
Iāve decided living with it is better than...
I use deep sleep mattresses with the leveling inserts installed on top of the folded seats. Not 100% level but close enough to not even notice when sleeping.
