I got rid of my base blockers. Speakers were too bright for my liking. Haven’t had any problems. I went with 6”pods in the rear and used forscan to change the setting from tweeter to speaker. Yes head rest is the best location. Also set the factory head unit amp to “0”, flat before running the DPS.
Nope. Manufactures have come a long way in corrosion protection despite your allegation. I have on 08 Tundra with no rust, and it is my daily driver in Ohio. I work on a lot of vehicles from various manufactures and rarely see a rusted undercarriage. None are rustproofed. Most consumer advocates...
Can I assume the shackle mounts can be purchased by themselves and when you say this is going to be modular is the modular built around the bar or the shackles? My ask is because I would like to add a couple of lights above the shackles, not sure I am interested in the bar as of now. Thanks.
Toplift. Pro tip Keep an eye on FB marketplace and pick one up used. If you are patient you can get one for $500-600. People list them thinking they can get top dollar but don’t. Don’t be afraid to make an offer. Another plus is already assembled. Most look brand new. Good luck.
Yep, dealers use NADA which is going to show a lower value. The OP is getting around what he should get in a trade according to NADA. I did a generic 23 Bronco 4 dr with standard features and came out to $44,785. Your mileage may vary.
My question is if an LED goes out, can that LED be replaced or does the whole unit need replaced. I know there is a 3 year warranty but trouble happens after a warranty expires too.
Only 2 ways to increase air flow. Reduced filtration or increased filter volume. K&N are known as "rock catchers" because they don't filter fine contaminates well. They do increase air flow which is great at the track not so much on the street. The linked video shows how dismal K&N is at...
Yes sounded amazing. Here is RagnarKon's video on the process. Dude's got a lot of videos and good information. The modification starts at 6min 25 sec. Tuning the audio system! - Subwoofer & speaker dial-in | Ford Bronco (youtube.com)
So in anticipation of getting the wiring I need tomorrow to wire the speakers in a series I removed the bass blockers from the front speakers tonight. I was curious how the stereo would sound without out them and wow, what a difference. So much better, fuller sound. Not tinny at all. Looking...
Nice. I found the video and ordered the Metra 72-5602 connectors. I’ll get them tomorrow. Will give this a try. I am assuming I don’t have to do any forscan changes to my front speakers since they still share the same channel? I’ll also re run the 200.4 set up. Thanks for the help.
These were the speakers I was looking at before I called Crutchfield. Looks like I would be having the same problem if I had went with them. Thanks for the insight. Guess speaker selection isn’t going to make much difference unless you spend large on them. 🤷🏻‍♂️
Yes I did see your video you posted rewiring the front speakers from parallel to series. I might go that route. In your video you mentioned a possible danger of overheating the 200.4 when wiring it as such. Have you had any issues? I'll try and find the video again to rewatch it. Thanks, I...
So first off not an audio guy so have read a bunch on the forum here in an effort to educate myself. One post I read said before replacing speakers try a Kicker Key 200.4, might be all you need. Alright. Tried it. Needed more help. So speakers it is. I was leaning towards infinity or Hertz...
So looking to purchase 6.5 speaker pods. I was wondering if anyone had handled both IAG/Mabett and SSV. Was there any discernable difference in quality? I know IAG/Mabett are made in China, same manufacture and have a 3 year warranty and SSV, I assume is made in USA with a lifetime warranty...
I hate squeaks. I had the guide pins rubbing against the hole they were in. It was a loud sharp squeak. I adjusted them to the center of their elongated holes. Next the hard top bottom against the body. I put rubber fender washers between the hard top and the body where the attaching bolts are...
I feel ya brother. Unfortunately, I don't have a good answer for that. I tried different ways. I'd use the plastic scraper get the adhesive balled up on the end of it then use a clean rag soaked with the adhesive remover then put the rag over the end of the scrapper and trap the adhesive on the...
This, rags and a plastic scraper. It takes awhile, is messy and you’ll get the adhesive that balls up on everything. Goof off or any other product like that is worthless. I never want to do that again. Good luck.
