OP didn't say what motor but there is a known issue with the 2.3 (vacuum hose). I can load 1,000 lbs on my Bronco with Sasquatch and the brakes are excellent. Either your brakes are not broken in yet, you glazed them, or it is possible there is something out of whack. Go drive another Bronco...

Winches draw so much power and can't see using one without the vehicle running. As long as you wire it up correctly the factory battery will work just fine...at least it does on mine.

That's ridiculous that you can't replace a car battery without some sort of extra reprogramming. People have been replacing Acid batteries for years with Gel/Glass batteries. Now with Lipos I could see it because they are more particular about their charging/overcharging needs.
