I have read through this thread several times and I appreciate everyone's insight; it has helped me a great deal in refining my new OBX build. I am a convert from a BD build because of several reasons albeit with much nostalgia for the BD. I think I am ready to submit my order barring any...
Many of these issues of location have been worked out with the 2019+ Ford Ranger. Many aftermarket bumpers are accommodating parking sensors and I am pretty sure that there is a relocation kit for the rectangle sensor in the middle of the bumper.
Edit: ADD Bumper w/Sensor Cutouts and Bracket...
The B&P change/correction has made me reconsider my engine option for sure. For me the tech in the LUX package with the 2.3L in the OBX is only $2k more. What I get for going from MID to LUX package is huge and well worth it.
Prior build:
BD, 2.7L, MID, Auto, etc.
Current build:
OBX, 2.3L...
Very nice! I have been waiting on the swag but I just broke down and used a Christmas present gift card to purchase a hat and stickers. My original plan was no swag until I order. I guess this means that I am committed!
Great question and a lot of great comments. Here is my take. Love the tech in the OBX but the rugged appearance of the BD.
My solutions:
Fender Flares and Mirror caps: wrap them to match bumpers.
Wheels & Tires: try to get BD steelie take offs and change out to a more aggressive All Terrain...
Maybe I do give them some credit but I agree that violating their word and the price guide that was published through Bronco Nation does call into question their credibility. As for Baghdad Bob I never got to hear him. I was too busy taking care of my Soldiers on the march to Baghdad.
My take is that they are trying to drive more people back to the 2.3L. I think their metrics from the B&P showed them the astronomical interest for the 2.7L which I believe will exceed their ability to manufacture enough of these engines. This in turn creates a huge backlog in fulfilling...
Welcome! Good group here and super excited to work with Renee and the team at Leonardtown Ford. I think the activity will pick up as we get closer to the opening of the order window. Cannot wait for the updated B&P.
Some that I have seen for the Wrangler bolt to the same bolts for the hardtop. I find these very interesting as well and plan to use one because I plan to sleep in my Bronco when I camp.
Got it, so it sounds like a final shake down for the Bronco before they send to customers. Make sense. Even if we could look and sit in it I would be thrilled. Thanks,
BD, 4DR, Area 51, 2.7L, Auto, Mid package Roof rack, towing and steelies. It should be great for daily driving and capable for moderate adventures.

Update: Problem Solved! On the Bronco Nation's video showing how to remove the hardtop they also gave instructions on removing the roof rack/rails. The said that the trim pieces above the windshield will come in the glove compartment of the car along with all necessary hardware.
Thanks for your post. This is the most relevant message on this thread and it goes straight to the heart of the matter. My question is would you recommend the aftermarket replacements? Thanks,
Edit: Just saw that you Highly recommend them. Thanks,
