Have you (or anybody I guess) seen non-squatched BD anywhere?
I keep wondering the same thing. All kinds of pics of all the other models even the Base. All I have seen was the factory shot of the rear on a black one.
Very happy with the B&P overall, even with some of the bugs. Below is where I was on July 15th and then where I am now after all my comparisons in B&P.
July 15th: BD, 4DR, 2.3L, Auto, A51 or Cactus Gray, MIC Hardtop, Mid Package, all available tech, Steel Wheels, Tow
Now: 4DR, maybe 2.7L...
Doors and Trim: 4DR Black Diamond
Color: Area 51
Engine and Transmission: 2.3L, Auto
Roof: MIC Hardtop-Gray
Sasquatch: No
Packages: Mid
Interior: MGV as light as possible
Options: Towing, Adaptive Cruise if separate option, as much tech as I can order on this trim
DIO: Roof rails/rack, Device...
The suspension on the Big Bend and Black Diamond is the same as the Base Model. The Base Model's clearance is about 8.3". As far as I know, the main thing that increases the clearance is tire diameter. The Base tire is 30" and the Black Diamond tire is 31.6". Half the difference is the...
Many Thanks to @NayNay for her diligence and responsiveness. She won my business, and I am all in on Team Leonardtown! It helps that she is just as excited about having her own Bronco as we all are. I transferred my reservation today (a seamless process-Good Job Ford!) and got an immediate...
About the glass; I am pretty sure that this means that all of the windows to the rear of the driver and front passenger windows are tinted from the factory to include the rear flip up glass.
I agree that this thread has gone a bit wide but to characterize it as disingenuous (dishonest) is unfair. In my opinion the OP has provided plenty of “value added insight” and I appreciate it.
As an old Soldier I love me some Green and the Sage Green example looks great! I vote for an Army Green (like Toyota) or a good deep OD Green; kinda like my avatar. What would make me even happier would be a good desert sand color as mentioned earlier by @NewtoOffroading. I have fond memories...
I have been fascinated for a long time with the early 20th Century Touring Cars that people would trek across the US with before the days of Interstate Highways and what comes with them. One of my bucket list items is to drive the TransAmerica Trail (crossing the US on as many dirt roads as...
I was thinking of all of the parts that are new with this being a brand new vehicle. All of this means new castings, molds, tooling and the suppliers working like crazy to ramp up. I can only imagine the percentage of parts that don't meet the standard. I try to keep in mind that there are a...
I saw your thread and thought I would recommend Overland Bound. There website is: https://www.overlandbound.com
The founder is Mike and he has a very useful YouTube channel with some very good videos on the Bronco as it relates to Overlanding/Travel/Adventuring. On their podcast they also...
Flashing back to my first car in the '70's and Fast Forward to the Bronco for Retirement:
Bob Seger - Against the Wind
Blondie - Heart of Glass
Boston - Foreplay/Long Time
Oh yeah, do think they will offer an option for my 8-tracks?! ?
Thanks for the message. I was at Fort Shafter this time but also at Schofield Barracks from 2003-2006. Love the Ewa Beach area, but it is really built up now. The metro sprawl has passed it and engulfed all the way to Kapolei.
I went with Hall Ford in Newport News. So far they are cordial...
I must say that you have given me something to think about. I am new to the area, military, and had to pick a dealer I had no history with. I had just arrived from Hawaii and literally compared google reviews to try and make a decision for a dealer.
I am also not very far from your location...
Ok, this sounds very interesting but I do have mixed feelings about this scenario. What you describe answers a few questions I had from poking around in the Ford site, but the all new personal ordering online sounds like a big step.
Where did you specifically learn that we would do our own...
