Sadly, the Hoonipigasus is out with a dropped valve.
But I was stoked to see a Bronco going through tech! Jimmy was really nice and I look forward to seeing that thing rip up the mountain 🤘
Those look good! For anybody looking for frame-mounted 2-door sliders, Shrockworks told me they're about to release their 2-door version and also their front bumper solution. It sounds like the bumper will be less flamboyant than most of the ones we've seen thus far.
According to @PREMiERdrum, last year Ford did a hostile takeover of the Webasto plant and quality still didn't improve (much). There was a rumor here last year that Ford asked Webasto to remove weight from the top (supposed GVWR issues) and that is why the top can't consistently meet quality...
Same here. Mine had obvious issues from the factory but I've been kicking it down the road until a real replacement comes along. My hope is they move to the modular tops exclusively so they're forced to replace these with something better but time will tell. We shouldn't have to pay anything...
They did add a rear sway bar on some models for 22 but I haven't seen a definitive list of which ones get it. On uneven bumps that would increase the effective spring rate.
I've had similar thoughts and almost posted them on the "unpopular opinion" thread. I'm running 32 psi now and the front isn't too bad but the rear is still fairly harsh over small bumps. The easiest solution might be a giant subwoofer box with a couple 15's in the cargo area.
On a serious note, are parts available for these? It's not a huge deal at the NAPA price point but I hate throwing things away. My little Viair serves me well but it'd probably take forever to air up 4 35" tires so I'm in for a Tricky DICK (Dual Inflating Compressor Kit).
What are the specs on the bolts you used? Are they regular shiny stainless heads? I just got some stainless screws with black powder coated heads for my mud flaps so maybe we need to make the same for these wheels since these bolts are also apparently soft with a shallow socket so they love to...
