Are you talking about these braces? The 2.3L doesn't have them? That's nice because they hang down at least a couple inches more than needed and are poorly constructed for sliding over things. I'm not sure if I'd rather cover them with a skid or show them my sawzall.
That shows the outer tie rod nut is M14 for raptor vs. M12 for regular Broncos so looks like reaming the knuckle will be required even if the lengths work out. Looking forward to your findings!
Tyler himself says you shouldn't need the bushing unless you're lifted. There's already a much cheaper tie rod splint on the market so I assume the same will happen with the bushing.
Nice pics! There is some scary steep stuff out there. I came down Free Fall above the park entrance in my 93 Bronco almost 20 years ago and it was really nice that it was rutted out because the axles dragging slowed me down and the ruts kept me from getting sideways, which would be a disaster...
Stop worrying, 21174 is a lucky day! Johnny, who is left-handed, was out sick that day so Lucy was filling in at the valve placement station and she is right handed, which is fortunate because the good valves were in Bin B to her right. Probably.
You're remembering correctly. A dealer here (@flip ) did the full swap as a learning exercise and his cost was over 9 grand so $15k retail sounds right. The hope is Ford puts a kit together which would have more reasonable pricing, though it's not likely to be any cheaper than the Advanced...
I don't recall that issue exactly but hopefully it's limited to 1.0 tops. My son cut himself Saturday on a rough edge under the window while peering out so 2.0 has its issues too. Mine also has two big blisters and awful sealing to the body at the front so I'm going to ask for a replacement...
@cyberfalco we did Snake and Fun Run but Ultimate Adventure was the one that had some big rocks! I have my frame mounted sliders almost ready to weld up after I decide where I'm trying to the frame. I was definitely limiting my momentum so I wouldn't slam a rocker!
Maybe it's an electrical issue? Did you try yanking the fuse(s) for the ABS module? I don't know how it works exactly but these things can apply the brakes automatically (hill start, collision avoidance, etc.) so it might be freaking out based on the sensor issue.
