  1. Used Value Dropping Fast

Thanks! I am thrilled to have a physical stick for my t-case AND my transmission...and although the sunk cost hurt, I rationalized that it was worth it because the prior owner of the FJ lost more than the MSRP of my Bronco when he sold it to me...so there's that. The Bronco was pretty cool...
  2. Used Value Dropping Fast

As it turned out, Carvana is the one who bought my Bronco and they offered me much more than CarMax...KBB and NADA were very close to Carvana.
  3. Used Value Dropping Fast

I loved my Bronco but oh boy did I get wrecked on the resale...kudos to those of you who are less impulsive than I am and who don't need the newest shiny thing and can wait it out! Along with the resale of the Bronco itself the parts that I bought that I salivated over (and had to wait for) also...
  4. Oil change at 20k, and found this in my catch can

If anyone is interested I have the Mishimoto catch can set up for the 2.7 available...complete with very low miles. Even with just under 2,000 mi I got oil out of both cans. I sold my Bronco, and hastily took the parts off that I knew weren't going to get me any extra money during the sale. I...
  5. Haven't 100% decided on a Bronco yet, but we really want one...

When I was searching for a donor VIN in order to program a 3.0 rack at the time I was thinking of installing one, I was able to search the interwebs for window stickered vehicles and on them Hoss 3.0 was clearly listed on the very few 23s that had them.
  6. Haven't 100% decided on a Bronco yet, but we really want one...

Agreed that neither Bronco or 4runner are actually refined...but Bronco seemed closer to "refined" than the 4runner. Neither are in the same ballpark as many other vehicles, including even the much cheaper used LR3 I once bought (those things drop like a rock in resale but have one of the most...
  7. Haven't 100% decided on a Bronco yet, but we really want one...

Wrenching on both I can say that IMHO I now prefer some of the simplicity of the 4runner despite the clear "refinement" edge the Bronco has. Yes, the Bronco was faster, better heated seats, bigger screen, more gears, on and on...but with the "old school" 4runner I never had to lose sleep over...
  8. Badlands to Heritage Grille Swap -- part number, purchasing, painting, installing

Yup I had to do that...I used SEM for ABS to prep the grille (I stripped the primer) and to scuff the camera cover prior to painting. They make good stuff.
  9. Ford Bronco Extended Warranty - $25 Over Cost @ Granger Ford-PAYMENT PLANS AVAILABLE!!

Genius decision...for the DEALERS...dammit...I was fortunate to get mine from Flood Ford, prior to the stupid law getting blessed, and paid 3250 for 150k miles/7 years with lights being covered (that cost extra). At my dealership, when I bought my Bronco, they wanted 4500...and claimed that was...
  10. Ford Bronco Extended Warranty - $25 Over Cost @ Granger Ford-PAYMENT PLANS AVAILABLE!!

Hello! Note that due to recent changes in California, California residents are not able to purchase auto warranties from out of state...sigh...so of course the in-state dealers are using that leverage to their advantage.
  11. Haven't 100% decided on a Bronco yet, but we really want one...

I second the gutlessness of the 4Runner...but recently a flash performance tune woke it up. It by no means would have hung with the Bronco, but no more random gear hunting and the pedal response is much better. I prefer the superior zip of the Bronco, but I would wager that the turboed 2.7 won't...
  12. Haven't 100% decided on a Bronco yet, but we really want one...

I really enjoyed my 21 Badlands...I think it looked great, I could fit my dogs with some finagling and removing the rear seats, and it was zippy to drive with the 2.7. It also was very capable off-road, although regardless of what a lot of people say on this forum I believe my 2006 LJ Jeep was...
  13. Badlands to Heritage Grille Swap -- part number, purchasing, painting, installing

That's a drag that you're an employee and they're charging you more than they are just the average person on the internet that just types in that part number and gets it from whatever site happens to be selling it at the lowest price...but if you don't have to pay for shipping then that leaves...
  14. Badlands to Heritage Grille Swap -- part number, purchasing, painting, installing

Youch...what kind of discount do you get? I have no affiliation with Ford but just typing in the part number yielded pretty decent prices for even non-employees:
  15. Badlands to Heritage Grille Swap -- part number, purchasing, painting, installing

That should do it...grille, deflector, bracket, clip, pal nuts, letters. Are you painting the grille (it comes in black primer) and the letters (they come in red)?
  16. 2021 Bronco Base DIED WHILE DRIVING today

Hey folks! I'm no longer actually a Bronco owner, because I recently sold my beloved Bronco, but I thought I'd chime in with a couple electrical experiences I had that folks might want to be aware of. The first occurred when I was wheeling on the Rubicon and I had one wheel in the air that was...
  17. 2021 Bronco Base DIED WHILE DRIVING today

Because loss of electricity renders electric brake inop...if that is what happened. Also in a panic situation it is easy to grab the hood release instead of the e-brake lever because they are in close proximity to one another (and equally useful in trying to stop the vehicle with no electricity).
  18. Banks Pedal Monster vs Pedal Commander

A quick add with even the free trial of Forscan and it makes a lot of difference with pedal response and shift points...highly recommended!
