Agree...Matt actually uses his winch, and many folks who buy winches don't. For those who do, before they need things to save their rigs they need to first get into such a situation, and things like, say, wheels and tires get them there...and guess where most of those fancy expensive...
I did sell my rig...but I still get emails from that company when there is a promotion, by choice, and I thought that because I still have friends with Broncos and I still love Broncos that I figured I'd offer up the coupon for anybody else that wants a winch to put on whatever rig it is they...
You are most welcome! It is a great winch...it came with two wireless remotes, and synthetic line, and has a very unique engagement mechanism that is less likely to get gummed up like the traditional lever. It is also tough to beat for the weight, and I ended up buying a bumper for under $1,000...
Hey folks! On my Badlands I installed one of these winches and it worked great...I know a lot of folks lean toward the harbor freight Badlands winch, but this one has cool features that make it seem more worthwhile to anyone looking for a low cost setup. As a bonus, when I installed on I weighed...
Anytime! The spacing is even. If you don't need the camera, you could go with the base trim one...I would have gone that route if I didn't have a camera (and if I didn't want the grille to have Ford on it versus Bronco... I prefer the Ford lettering).
Hello! The Heritage grille has the camera cutout...I believe all the Heritage trim levels have a camera. I got that specific grille because the other grilles that look similar to it came only without a camera cutout.
Are you ok with getting the replacement Velcro? It comes with two strips for the roll bars, and when I test for it for the install I applied the strips to my Bronco. I installed it, then it came off after only one drive (because I had to put the hard top back on to test fit down other mod I was...
That lower hinge is not a Raptor hinge...the Raptor hinge has the same configuration as the upper hinge shown in your picture (different part number, however).
The older HB plate was drilled with wider holes to fit the OEM hinge, and I believe the newer version has holes that will fit either...
Unless the Raptor hinges changed from when I bought them the lower Raptor hinge should look just like the upper Raptor hinge with similar thicknesses to the OEM hinges where the bolts go but a lot thicker center sections with threaded holes.
I went with 15 foot pounds for torque...I did not want to risk stripping the nut plates. Ford didn't have a torque listed for them (even @flip checked ...)...so I used an engineering calculator for pitch/diameter of OEM bolts. Some of the kits out there recommend much higher torques...but I...
Stock are the correct ones...Raptor hinges are dimensionally identical to OEM hinges in the mounting area for through-bolts. The profile ramps up past the bolts.
That is because the Bronco upper hinge and lower hinge are not aligned vertical in relation to one another...all the Bronco top hinges are more toward the front bumper than the lower hinge is (not because of the hinge heights but because of the angle of the tailgate itself). If you took the...
Yup...the fairlead was just so-so and I got a new hook quickly. They had to cut corners somewhere at the price I paid, but pleased overall with the winch itself.
I installed the AFE box... and if I had to do it again, I would go with the Injen not only because it is a closed box like the AFE, but it also replaces the driver side pipe that leads to the turbo (the AFE does not). In my opinion any intake that is open and not closed is not actually a "cold...
What the current iteration of the Ford Bronco ended up being for me was close to being what I was seeking but not quite there...I think Toyota could take a lesson from the Bronco popularity, and bring back a more realistic tribute to the FJ40 or the FJ60 and put a V6 naturally aspirated engine...
I waited over 2 years and was thrilled initially with my 2 door Badlands SAS Lux. Initially, I was a little concerned that I went big on the options, but afterwards and reading about all the people trying to install the things that they initially said they didn't need made me feel like I made a...
I'm no economist but regardless of currency valuation I paid 55k for my 21 back in 21...at 2% interest. To buy that same trim level today at MSRP is 64k...and the interest rate is much higher. Had I have kept my Bronco, I would not have bragged about it holding REsale value (because it...
For reference/context Carvana gave me 44k for my 2 door Badlands SAS/Lux 2.7 auto (MSRP in 2021 was 55k) with less than 7k miles and no damage. Note to future self, keep OEM parts intact if the plan down the road is to add aftermarket goodies...I was able to grab some things off mine before it...
