I think it is pretty much all lift and tires initially...no matter what trim level, a Bronco (or Jeep) on less than 33s and zero lift (to me) just seems meh. For folks who care more about form versus function, with either brand, "the look" can be had rather inexpensively...takeoffs for both...
Agree that stock LJs are ugly...but then again, IMHO, completely stock Broncos in lower trims aren't a lot more attractive. Throw a set of tires on either with a tasteful, well-planned lift, and it can be a game changer (especially for 4-door versions from either camp). No need or benefit with a...
I had one and I shouldn't have let it go...I tortured myself because I sold it to my neighbor so I still drive by it. It is very towable, however it weighs around 4,800 lb with the soft top and half doors (on 35s/winch/steel bumpers/lift/recovery gear). For comparison, my JL has only slightly...
As both an appreciator of Broncos and Jeeps, I have never understood many of the aftermarket mods some find so appealing for BOTH Jeeps and Broncos...but beauty is in the eye of the beholder, right?
I think it's (first gen Bronco awesomeness) the main reason many people on this forum wanted a Bronco... especially those who prefer the 2 door version!
103.4 for LJ...96.8 for current JL (Bronco is 100.4). Almost there! At least slightly longer than the 93.4 TJ wheelbase. I think this company is on to something:

Things sure have changed over the years...back in the day (even if folks had families) the manufacturers of arguably the most sought after/popular/capable/timeless rigs (1st Gen Broncos/Jeeps/FJ40s) had no interest in adding extra doors. Imagine a first gen Bronco as a 4-door? Or a CJ5/7? An...
I think both have their highlights...and I suspect that many of the people who are squarely in one "camp exclusionary" may not have had the experience of owning both to be able to really be able to compare them for themselves. Jeeps may have some significant shortcomings, but my Bronco was not...
As for space in the back of a 2-door, to be able to fit a couple dogs (no kids or passengers) my 2 door Bronco needed a Goose Gear setup (which is not super fun to install...seats needed to removed, and it is not easy to throw one or both back in if/when one needs to). I have since bought a used...
With those, you can use your OEM hinges and you can replace one OEM bolt at a time with a stud. It saves you the headache of having to be very careful with the nut plates (they can fall off into the abyss of the tailgate and that sucks). By replacing the bolts one at a time, you can retain hinge...
I would wager that there have been zero OEM hinge failures. The only reason I went down the rabbit hole of figuring it out how I could get a better design of attaching a plate to the hinge (to carry a couple of gas cans was the original idea) was why I reached out to Hammerbuilt to inquire about...
But many Ford dealers are still into price gouging. The folks who are aware of the Tread Lightly program can order a Jeep the exact way they want it, and then go and pick it up after it arrives for at least 1% below dealer INVOICE...and when I was Cross shopping one of the Jeep dealerships in...
I imagine that you could pull gently on the harness and if it pulls back and forth from both ends you know there was no pinch but the issue is that it's routed through some wire keepers...and I don't think you'll get much movement out of it. Mine was crushed right between the bumper and the...
80k could buy a bone stock gen 1 Bronco that's pretty well preserved, or what I'm talking about is buying a gen 1 Bronco that has had pretty much every suspension component and drivetrain component at least mildly to moderately upgraded (not a Coyote engine, but even a crate injected 351/302...
Having owned a Bronco Badlands Sasquatch that I ordered in the first couple hours when orders opened, and having done some of what you said (putting a bunch of mods in it... although not to make it a raptor), I can attest to the fact that it does add up quickly (and after having sold it I can...
I'm not aware if the $300 winch has been tested to rigorous standards or not...I just wanted to share the coupon in case somebody wanted to get an affordable winch for their rig (and I didn't think that I'd get lit up for it on the forum). Even if something is designed and engineered well it...
