MPG off road is very deceiving. Last week we went wheeling in the Salida/BV area in Colorado. Wheeled all day for 3 days and only burned a little over a 1/4 tank each day. Most of the day we drove just above idle in 4L. So MPG is "terrible" but you don't burn much gas wheeling as compared to...
We used to live in Ferndale, close to Eureka. For those who have never been there, it's an awe inspiring and humbling area. It's hard to convey the majesty of the trees in pictures and words. Thanks for posting!
If $100 is not an issue, sign up as a driving guest. Keep that option on the table! My guest was my B-I-L and we swapped driving. It was fun to drive some and to watch some.

Just a quick comment on 2. - I used an isolator solenoid mounted on the battery bracket and used the #6 10A upfitter switch. Just curious why you don't want to use an upfitter switch? Have you already used all 6?
I have the Turn Offroad winch plate on my capable bumper. Install is pretty straight forward. (I also installed one on a friends Bronco.) I does not block the letters and I did not relocate the camera. It blocks the camera just a small amount but not enough that I want to relocate the camera...
I wouldn't worry much about the Bronco you get. With your history of car ownership I doubt you will have it very long! LOL
(I am envious of the cars you have had - some very nice ones on your list!)
Personal choice. I don't care for them - especially on Gen6's with the rear camera poking through! But we do have a cover on our 74 Ranger to complete the vintage look.
