I don’t think Broncos have an input on manual transmissions for gear position. They don’t have up shift lights or rev matching on downshifts so there’s no reason for a gear input on a manual. I could be wrong, I would have to check when I get back to work.
It’s the anti theft alarm. It should only activate when the key is off and vehicle is locked. While driving you only get a hood ajar warning on the dash.
I don’t blame you for being hesitant about a replacement top on a brand new truck. The top is covered 3/36, I would wait for a while and see what happens with the cracks. When they get bad enough that you can’t live with them anymore, go for a replacement top.
After you drill out the pins from the backside they can be put on the new grill with good quality 2 sided trim tape. That stuff will stick them on and lasts forever. That’s how our body shop did it when the letters were on back order for a while.
They are a little pricey, but Marathon seat covers fit perfectly, they wear like iron, and come in a bunch of colors and cool camo patterns. Had them on the 2017 F-150 that I traded for my Badlands and after 6 years they showed no real wear, even on the outside edge of the driver’s seat. When...
If you have a Dr. Vinyl guy they can fix stuff like this, although I’m not sure about the grain on those parts, that might be a little difficult for them.
Took delivery of our 23 Badlands in April after a little over 2 years of waiting. It’s a 5 door, 2.7L, Lux, Sasquatch hardtop. Just turned 6K miles of mixed driving, including a 1800 mile road trip to Colorado for some off roading.
So far average fuel economy over the whole time we’ve owned...
There is a Technical Service Bulletin to replace the hood latch for that concern. I don’t recall the bulletin number, it may be listed under false hood ajar warning.
Also be sure they did the “Tow Bar Configuration “, which is a dumb name, it sounds like something you would do to tow the truck and not tow with it! I first tried to configure the Trailer Module and it failed. Then I read the instructions in the kit (when all else fails, read the...
Mine is a 23. It failed tow bar configuration on the first attempt. When I tried it again it configured successfully. That kind of thing isn’t exactly rare with module programming using FDRS. Did you install the trailer brake controller along with the light kit? The light kit doesn’t do brakes.
They wouldn’t know, a tech is too busy trying to make a living to worry about whether or not you made inconsequential Forscan changes. Now if you do some crazy tune and smoke your engine or trans, they might look for modifications. Then there might be some consequences. I have made several...
If you didn’t recalibrate your speedometer with Forscan you will be getting better mileage than you measure, you’ll be going further than your odometer reads.
Honda and Toyota dealers have service departments too. I have worked with techs that came out of those dealerships, and the idea that they just do maintenance is definitely not true. Toyota had widespread problems with engine failures back in the 90s because they restricted coolant flow to the...
