Over 5K miles my Badlands 4 door 2.7 Sasquatch has averaged 19.4 with mostly daily driving except for a 2k mile trip to Colorado which included 2 days off road driving. It actually does about as we daily driving as highway. If they wanted to get the best possible fuel economy on these things...
315-70-17. In my opinion anything smaller on squatch wheels at squatch ride height looks funny. Maybe the 33s that are standard on the Badlands wouldn’t look too bad, but still a little small. In all vehicles, stance is everything!
FINALLY got our A51 Badlands off road a couple of weeks ago in Colorado. We’ve had it since April and haven’t been able to get away to get it dirty. (And she said I wouldn’t ever get it dirty). We went over Tin Cup pass and did some other smaller trails. It was a blast. Next, back to Moab...
Yeah, but I was talking about a garage kept, well maintained, weekly washed, monthly waxed Honda that gets 3 or 4 thousand miles a year put on it………
Some kind of RF, possibly a bad ballast on a gas type light, such as a fluorescent inside light or a sodium vapor parking lot light could cause this problem.
Is that spot close to overhead power lines, large transformers, or a cell phone tower? Strong RF noise can affect the system’s ability to communicate with the key fob.
Actually, FDRS problems are not all that rare. Sometimes they get fixed pretty quickly, other times not so much. We have been unable to do software updates fairly frequently in the last two or three years.
The part isn’t called for until the warranty claim is submitted, they could put it back on if that would get it back on the road. (It likely wouldn’t)
What the message is saying is that Ford didn’t get the new module installation tool on FDRS, which is the computer the dealer uses to install the software in the Gateway Module. That happens occasionally on different vehicles and modules. It’s not a problem with the Bronco, it’s an oversight...
Looks like a great trip! We were out in Colorado last week in the Buena Vista area and did Tincup Pass and 4 Mile area . That was the first time off road for our new Badlands, we had a blast. The Rockies are beautiful. Oh, and nice pictures!
After 4 months we finally got away with the Bronco to go get it dirty. Started out easy today, going to do St. Elmo to Tincup tomorrow. This thing is such a blast, worth the wait. Well, the wait was a little long.
Transmission on Bronco can’t shift to Park on its own, it is controlled by a cable attached to the shifter. After re-reading one of the posts in this string I saw something about starting the engine and putting trans in gear to verify the T-case was in neutral. That could possibly cause the...
