Those sensors need to fit into the bumper opening just right, if they arenāt aimed correctly or if the silicone rubber cushion surrounding them is pinched or bound up they can trigger false alarms or sensor blocked messages.
A flashing CEL indicates a dead miss in one or more cylinders. Could be an ignition coil connector not snapped in tight, or a fuel injector connector, or a bad coil or injector. It wonāt be a big deal.
Looks like a defect in the e-coat primer that was missed and painted over. If it was mine, I would wait to see if it becomes a problem since the repair will be to paint the entire door. That defect down that low would bother me much less than a mismatched door.
The aim of that module is critical. Even once it aimed to get the message to go away, the systemās function is compromised. The system was engineered to have the sensor mounted where it was originally. In the dealership where I work we have dealt with several of them relocation kits. They can...
If you had to pull the A/C control panel that would explain the communication errors that I didnāt get time to investigate when I answered earlier today about ground 301. Pull it again and check that it is plugged in securely. I think that is Module A. On Fordās PTS website it was listed as...
Just a Quick Look through your DTCs, Iām betting Ground 301 is off or loose. It is at the right rear corner of the truck under the top of the trim panel. You would have been in there for the amp and subwoofer. The ground is for the seat track position sensor, the occupant classification...
Drivetrain may have been bound up by some wheels having traction, all being locked together and trying to rotate independently. It was probably normal.
Tire vibration can be caused by more than balance. There is road force variation, where some sections of the tire are stiffer in the sidewall than others. The only cure for that is a different tire. There are also radial and lateral runout. Again, a new tire is really the only cure. Larger...
Ford should replace a damaged part? Where would that policy end? If I curb a wheel, should they replace that too? Or knock a mirror off while off roading? Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship only.
If the car was originally sold in California, it takes very little to get a buy-back. There are so many buy-backs there that they have to ship them all over the country to auction. At one time something like 60% of all buy-backs nationwide were in California. Thatās not just Ford, all...
Exactly right, hanging the load out away from the back of the vehicle does give it leverage. It could be that the rear suspension isnāt compressing all that much, but the weight hanging out away from the hitch actually uses rear axle as a fulcrum and lifts the front end like a teeter-totter.
it could be a supplier issue, the ā21s were built during the height of the COVID scam and everything was hard to get. There was over 2 years of production on the wait list and they may have been taking what they could get for parts. Just a thought.
Have your dealer service department pull a warranty history on PTS. It will show every warranty repair done on it. If it had multiple attempts for the same issue, thereās a pretty good chance itās still not fixed. I speak from experience of working in a dealership service department. It...
The doors wonāt unlock from outside if the keys are inside. Thatās a safety/security feature, you might be trying to get out of a bad situation and wouldnāt want someone to be able to open your locked door because the key is in your pocket.
If the discount is given off list, it may not even be a discount, like you said. When I first started calling on dealers one of them had a pretty bad hail storm go through. I was visiting the store a couple of days after and said that it sucks that his inventory got beat up. He said it was...
