That’s pretty rich, “we don’t see anything about the bumper that caused the concern but we think it’s the most likely cause”. Hopefully the service manager apologized for the hassle, he sure should have. And now it’s full of refrigerant and working?! Wow!
I just found the pictures of when I had my bumper off and unless there’s something really different about the bumper you put on, I can’t see how a bumper install would have hurt anything to do with the A/C. Did you ask them what they found to lead them to believe it was the bumper install that...
Did your A/C work for a while after the bumper? If so, something may have rubbed a hole in a line or in the condenser and let the refrigerant out. Were there any parts charged out on their estimate? If so, that’s probably what happened.
There’s a chance the switch acted like a fuse and shut the circuit down. I wouldn’t rely on the switch at this point. Luckily the battery didn’t blow up, I’ve seen that happen, it’s not pretty!
Yeah, leather does that, that’s part of the beauty of it. Vinyl stays smoother, but leather looks better, even with the wrinkles. It won’t get much more wrinkled over time, just treat it once in a while.
Sounds like a suspension, body mount, or crossmember bolt causing the noise as you drive over irregularities in the road. Get a breaker bar and some sockets and check all the bolts you can get to.
Can’t be done practically. It would take a $2K forward sensor, a new ABS module, new steering wheel, a hack reflash of the PCM, IPC, and possibly some other modules. It would be cheaper and easier to trade for a new Bronco. I have driven probably 8 or 10 company cars with adaptive speed...
Not really likely, Chrysler got hammered several years ago for not properly disclosing damage on new cars. They would scrap the car and build another one. They build 50 Broncos an hour, it’s cheaper to build one than face the consequences of selling a damaged car.
You have to be cautious heating and welding on modern frames, they are high strength steel, not mild steel as they have been the past. Heating high strength alloys and not cooling them properly can affect the strength. I would be particularly concerned on a small piece that is under a big...
You will have a hard time finding someone who will straighten the bracket, they would be liable if it fails in the future. Most shops won’t clip a frame either for the same reason. The only reason clips are available is that Texas requires the title to be branded if the frame is replaced, but...
4 Auto only locks the transfer case clutch to the front differential if sees the rear drive shaft going faster than the front during wheel spin. You are fine driving in 4Auto any time, but it will reduce your fuel economy somewhat due to spinning the front driveline all the time.
The open only delivers equal torque if there is equal traction. If you get in a situation where one wheel is in deep mud or hanging in the air, no torque will be applied to the wheel that has traction.
When an open differential vehicle is heavily accelerated from a stop it will always spin...
If you are on a surface that has any traction you will get driveline binding and clunks and bumps while you are in 4Hi or 4 Lo. The noises and bump sensations will be more pronounced in 4 Lo. The bumps on upshifts and downshifts are because of the gear reduction in 4Lo multiplying the torque...
The dealer can pull the DTCs it triggers from “ Connected Vehicle” on the Ford PTS website. They are retained there for 90 days. You are experiencing some sort of network communication issue and there are going to be a lot of “U” codes.
