  1. Puddle lights stopped working

Could be battery state or charge, I’ve seen that on multiple vehicle lines at the dealership where I work. Does your Auto Start Stop work? If not, it’s probably the battery.
  2. Moab Offroadeo Sticker?

They shouldn’t have to mess with the stickers to move the glass from one top to the other.
  3. Trail Turn Assist, What Am I Doing Wrong?

We did it when we were in Moab. There was a sort of sand pit along the trail. We were given the option to try it, so… I gave it try. It works really well in sand, I’m guessing it will do well in snow or mud also.
  4. Water in transfer case?

If it was heavily damaged, the Field Service Engineer will look at it very closely before he approves any warranty coverage, as he should. Warranty only covers defects in materials and workmanship, its not insurance against damage or neglect.
  5. Water in transfer case?

If it was at the shop that long, it was sitting outside most of the time. I’m not sure where the TC vent is or what it looks like, but if it sat outside without the hood on it, could rain have gotten into the vent? I don’t know. And I don’t think I’ve seen a frame straightened in years...
  6. Change Driveline Fluids Early!

That yellow fluid could have been gear marking compound. It gets used occasionally at the plant.
  7. Here is What Happens When Your Battery Dies!

The best indicator of a weak battery is when Auto Stop/Start quits working, unless it has been turned off with Forscan. Turning ASS off with Forscan just turns off the battery state of charge monitor in the BCM, kind of an unintended byproduct of changing things without fully understanding how...
  8. Here is What Happens When Your Battery Dies!

Yes, if you put your own battery in everything will come back to normal. It may take a couple of key cycles and a short drive. Low battery state of charge wreaks havoc on cars with a lot of modules on multiple communication networks, one module has problems because of low voltage and the other...
  9. Collision Alarm

That happens because the system doesn’t know the car in front of you is turning. It’s normal.
  10. Outside Temp Wrong

I forgot about moving them to the mirror. Thanks for the correction. They were on the radiator support forever.
  11. Outside Temp Wrong

And those sensors are simply thermistors, they rarely fail.
  12. Outside Temp Wrong

Be aware that the system has an algorithm to prevent false readings, particularly on hot restarts. Since the sensor is located in the grille close to the radiator/condenser it would read well over 100 degrees on a hot restart, so the system remembers the temperature at shut down and displays...
  13. 2024 Badlands stitched dash part

The stitched dash cap is north of $1100. Gulp!
  14. Camera issues unresolved for almost 3 years

Some dealer service departments won’t under any circumstances replace a part unless they see the fault. They are afraid of getting the warranty claim charged back. I get that, but at some point something needs to be done. It’s not the customer’s fault that some intermittent problems are hard...
  15. Camera issues unresolved for almost 3 years

Sounds like it might need an Image Processing Module.
  16. Rear shocks failed, parts fell off

They are coil over shocks. Struts provide the upper axis point for steering. Cars with struts don’t have upper control arms.
  17. Rear shocks failed, parts fell off

Call Ford Customer Service line. The number used to be 800-392-FORD (3673). Your shocks are covered, if you have Ford ESP. If not, they are 36 Mo.-36,000 miles.
  18. Losing tread in the middle

Wear in the center of tires is from over inflation. Every time.
  19. Got Bucked!

Yep, I just flashed the picture in front of a coworker and asked what it said. He replied No Dick.šŸ˜‚
