First summer with my first '24 2dr BD...and it's been a hot, but very good Summer...
So I was putting on one of those half-sized car covers to keep the sun off...
After removing the cover last week, I saw this discolored roof spot, about 2 inch x 3 inch, and not visibly growing since.
Vehicle is totally stock...nothing underneath the spot inside that I installed, or can see.
Your thoughts here are most welcome !

Looks to me more like a stain or blemish more so than some structural defect. Unfortunately these tops are so easy to scuff and mark up.

Have you seen it in person? To me it looks like a light reflecting off a mirrored surface like a window or something. A surveillance camera shot of it is less useful than a close up shot.

Is the cover you used the type that can breathe ? It needs to keep water out but let any moisture that collects under it from condensation evaporate. A pool of water under a cover can cause discoloration.

Yes, probably it may be what you say, as it has been raining c&d for a day or 2 here lately, and I did notice some water underneath when cover was removed after...but...why so localized in that place?
And Amazn seller for car cover sez the fabric can hold back a 3-meter (9.8-foot) column of water before any leaks through...LOL...seeing is believing...it's NOT...
