I have no dog in this fight (no longer have any need or want for a pickup and can no longer sit down in a mustang with my old back), “But” to me neither a bronco or mustang should have 4 doors…there are lots of other name’s available…ALL 4 door vehicles are utilitarian rather than “enthusiast“…they all make me throw up alittle when I see them…I hope I die (or at least need to stop driving) before my 2 door 2.7 bronco wears out…carry on!

That's because of the Bronco's coilover rear suspension. Replace that with leaf springs and towing capacity will go up quite a bit.

The Gladiator does not have leaf springs, yet has a much higher tow rating than a Bronco. But if you look at the Wrangler tow rating, it is similar to a Bronco’s. There is no reason that a Bronco truck wouldn’t also have a higher tow rating in the 6-7,000+ range.

As was posted already, the Gladiator is a very niche vehicle, I am surprised that it is still being sold with how poorly sales have been, and I did own one before the Bronco. Anyone who asked about it was told the same thing; it isn’t a great Jeep, it isn’t a great truck, but it is the best Jeep truck! Folks that are buying them now are either trading in an older model for newer, want a Jeep but need a truck still (and are going to regret it), or are finding a great deal and buying it over a Wrangler that comparably equipped but costs more.

They've been saying they are coming out with a Bronco pickup for the last several years, there are many Youtube videos about it but nothing ever happens, they need to stop saying it if they aren't going to do it...

Couple of thoughts:

Several years ago, around when Ford stopped making "regular" cars they were shifting to a few major "brands", Bronco, hence why we Bronco Sport, Mustang, hence why we have Mach-E (and probably at some point a 4-door "Mustang"), and trucks, F-Series, Super Duty, Maverick, et al. All vehicles were going to fit into one of those lines. Not sure I, or really anyone else outside of Ford agrees with that stance but here we are.

WRT a Bronco Truck, I can see them transitioning the Ranger to the Bronco line. To me, that would greatly simplify the current Ranger/ Bronco line. Remember the old Ranger and Bronco II were essentially the same vehicle, or at least shared many, many components, interior, exterior, and chassis, unlike today's Bronco and Ranger. Sure, they're made on the same line but the differences are significant.

Personally I would love to see a return to the Ranger/ Bronco "twinsies" concept. I know why they didn't do this as Ranger was never stopped overseas so it was easy to just start making them here again on the Bronco line and re-introduce them into the US market.

Bronco pickup should be based on a 2 door. Give it a half cab like the Early Bronco and rear seat delete.

It could even be a DIY replacement roof/back wall kit an owner buys from the dealer.

The Bronco was never a "twin" of the Ranger. The Bronco II was as much a real Bronco as the current Bronco Sport is. The Early Bronco had its own specific chassis. Though did share some interior bits with the Mustang

The 4 door Mustang, is going to be called a Mach4. It has been said, just Mach4. No Mustang. Also, it has been said by people who have seen it think Porche Panarama in a Ford skin. Makes plenty of sense to me, as you see a bunch of Porches down here in Miami.

The F150 and Mustang are more than a name; IT IS THE BRAND. So if you want to introduce something, well, that name goes there. Though I think this time, styling the 4-door Mach4 to look similar to a Mustang will do the selling. As for a Bronco pickup, I think it would do well. They are aiming at Jeep Gladiator sales, and again, you see a bunch of them down here. I think people who want a Bronco and s a somewhat usable bed will be the target.

That makes more sense if they just call it Mach 4. That's what they should have done with the Mach-E. Just leave the Mustang name off of it, but if they wanted to include styling elements thats fine.
