The 4 door Mustang, is going to be called a Mach4. It has been said, just Mach4. No Mustang. Also, it has been said by people who have seen it think Porche Panarama in a Ford skin. Makes plenty of sense to me, as you see a bunch of Porches down here in Miami.

The F150 and Mustang are more than a name; IT IS THE BRAND. So if you want to introduce something, well, that name goes there. Though I think this time, styling the 4-door Mach4 to look similar to a Mustang will do the selling. As for a Bronco pickup, I think it would do well. They are aiming at Jeep Gladiator sales, and again, you see a bunch of them down here. I think people who want a Bronco and s a somewhat usable bed will be the target.

Think Ford really missed the mark with the E-Mustang . . . I’ve got ZERO experience in marketing/sales/etc., but they should have called that thing the “Galax-E” - - homage to an older family oriented Ford product without sullying the heritage of the Mustang.

As a fellow eastern NC resident I second this post. Gladiators are all over the place here. Definitely outnumber Rubicons.
I third this message, but there are also a good amount of Broncos and Wranglers, most of which haven’t sniffed dirt.

Facts as facts.
Ai is not to be trusted...but the info is within a few percentages.
Gladiators are having birthdays on car lots.

They're turds, they were always turds.
Once the
'Hey look at me'
market saturates...it's all downhill.

If it weren't for the
Over msrp, gotta have it gang,
they wouldnt have lasted a third year without the fadfishness of it.

Once the scrambler hits the market a HUGE percentage of glads will be traded in by the
'Hey look at me' gang.

Signed,
I drive a stroppe,
So;
Hey! Look at me!

They are, but so are a lot of cars, granted stelantis is having some of the worst of it.

*I added the flareside bed of a 99-04 Lightning for the complaint department.

The Galaxie needs to remain a boat.

I don't think Ranger sales would be terribly affected. A Ranger can tow 7,500lb. However a Bronco only 3,500lb, due to the desire for enhanced articulation facilitated with soft coil springs. Surely the Bronco pickup will retain the rear coil spring suspension.
The Jeep Gladiator has a maximum towing capacity ranging from 4,500 to 7,700 pounds when properly equipped, with a maximum payload capacity up to 1,720 pounds. Capacities vary significantly by trim level, axle ratio, and package selection

The Bronco is no where near those numbers

Well if the Bronco pickup has a price tag of $60-70K it won’t be cutting into Ranger territory.
It wouldn't be cutting into F150 territory either as a Bronco pickup would have WAY less capability.

That's because of the Bronco's coilover rear suspension. Replace that with leaf springs and towing capacity will go up quite a bit.

And at that point is it really a Bronco then?

The original Bronco didn't have a coilover rear suspension. But then, it also didn't have 4 doors, GOAT modes, turbos, A/C, and a host of other things.

Interesting question, with the answer a matter of opinion.
