Who the hell wants a 4 door Mustang.
Nobody. But lots of folks would like a 4-door performance Falcon. RWD, 5.0, and manual transmission.

Ford somehow got the idea that "RAM" as a brand was a good idea. It wasn't. So they want to make Mustang a "family" just like they want to make Bronco a "family" of vehicles.

There was absolutely ZERO reason to call the Bronco Sport a Bronco instead of making it the 4th Gen Escape. But they did.

For people who want a Ranger sized pickup the Bronco would be a POOR substitute.
People buy Rangers and Tacomas to go camping. Or they think they will maybe at some point go camping.

Give me a 2-door Bronco pickup and I'm in. An open bed is far more practical than a roof 360 days out of 365.

They prey on shallowness and the

Crowd.
Thus that abomination e-mustang and the non-bronco bronco.

To old guys;
Falcon meant you couldn't afford a mustang.
Nova meant a chevelle was out of reach and your wife said you couldn't have a camaro.

To anyone younger:
Falcon( in the USA)doesn't mean a single thing of any sort.

I fear a "refresh for the boxy SUV" could be the end of the 2 door.
2 door has been dropped from most of the trim levels.

Something just dawned on me:
IF anyone really truly wanted a two door bronco truck...
There'd be a popular kit to transform either a four door(with door block offs to make a long bed)or a two door kit. They make replacement fenders with molded in flares...so truck sides to cover the rear doors would not be a feat.

It is literally no work to pull the interior plastic side panels out.
It's minor engineering to build a cab-back/bulkhead/rear wall that handily uses the existing rear window and attaches to the roof panels. There are already body trim kits for when the top is off.

If such a kit doesn't exist, if only some sema bondo-queen exists...
There is no appreciable market.

Our snap together bronco could easily be transformed... yet, it's not.
There has to be a 'why'.

I'm going to guess that current bronco owners are a $5,000 kit plus paint away from having a bronco truck they say they want.
No one is doing it.

Spot on. Lots of 4-door Malibus were sold, and there are still lots of wicked 2-door variants still on the road. A new Falcon that gives us the choice to configure the way we want it would be awesome. Like Dodge could have a new Dart, etc.

As the owner of the Bronco Sport and an Escape, you're absolutely right on naming it wrong. And RAM for Chrysler. This is a problem that goes way back, like Chrysler trying to make Imperial its own brand.

Give us a new Fairmont or Falcon. With colors other than black, gray or white. How about bench seats, with zippy plaid cloth? Roll-up windows and minimal everything?

Filson is very goofy.
The stroppe cost ford ZERO to make, isnt endless and is EXTREMELY goofy.

While we're telling of goofy fords:
I was in the car business in the long ago and I vividly remember an early explorer that was a forza or a forenza limited thing like the filson is supposed to be.

Also, for car guys;
A gm/opel forenza had a 302dz on it.
Stroppe isn't limited edition (alike Heritage Limited with just a 1,966 unit build). The Stroppe 2-door should have been a 1,966 unit run and then end it.
