I think the only people who pay full price at this dealership are people who don’t pay attention or are in a hurry, because the dealer seems to run specials almost all of the time. The 3/$90 deal previously included Motorcraft semi-synthetic. And I’m fine with semi-, especially at 5k change intervals. The wording in this seems different that maybe they aren’t doing that anymore, but I’ll find out the next time I need to buy one. I have 1 or 2 left on my current package. There is usually a $20-30 difference in their price between a single semi- and single full-synthetic oil change. It’s all about getting your car in the shop so that they can recommend any other work you need.
But they don’t pressure you to do it. I’ve told them, “I’ll change the air filter myself.” They do a huge business (250-500 vehicles per day), so they’ve figured out what works for them.
