2021 Badlands with 60,350 miles and I was getting very low/no boost and the wrench and engine light icons on the dash. Dealership wants $3,500 to replace it ($2,300 in parts). WTF. Anyone had luck with getting a "Goodwill Assistance" bone out of of Ford for such a catastrophic failure 350 miles outside of warranty?
All services done timely and at the same dealership where I bought it. I'm hopeful that will help with the request. I asked the service representative at the dealership to make the request, but I'm not sure how much they may or may not fight for me. Maybe I need to call Ford as well?

Buy some of my Bronco accessories from my signature link below and help a guy out! :)

Be careful with the rebuild. I've had several friends that went the rebuild route and the turbo failed again very soon. Most of my friends drive the 3.5 f150. This is why I don't like turbos and little bitty motors. A lot of stress over a period of time. The 5.0 would fix his problem forever.

I think that's just a generic message. Ford dealers don't rebuild turbos

A good time to get an upgraded turbo and tune. You can swap that turbo in a couple hours yourself and get a tune for way less.

Always use 100% POA based synthetic oil not the blend dealer was putting in that likely caused failure.

So many turbo and tune options available incl a used one off low milage from recyclers.

Say more about POA based synthetic. I've been wrenching forever and never heard that term.

You do realize there's other shops out there that do rebuilds And replace turbos. I would not go to Ford once the warranty expires on anything

Obviously.
This quote is not from one of those other shops though, which is my point.

The Ford Corporate number said there's nothing they can do to provide goodwill despite my loyalty and great record or service at the same dealership There's no option for me not to get it fixed so I told them to order the parts and I'll see if the Service Director can help in any way tomorrow.
That's unfortunate, but predictable. I've definitely seen Customer Loyalty forgiveness and a lot worse scenarios than yours. If you haven't already maybe talk to the service department manager, or maybe the owner if possible. Worst case scenario see if they can do the parts at their cost and you pay labor.

So have I with other brands. Way more forgiveness. 350 miles out of warranty and they can offer nothing... Those good will repairs/replacements were usually done through corporate. Truly hope OP receives some assistance and or finds a good independent that can help offset the cost to do the work.

I stopped by today to appeal to the service director for any local assistance while telling them to move forward with the work as he was out. Apparently, they can't get the turbo unit in until around August 20, so they're trying alternate methods to find the part

My local go-to garage for all of my non-warrantied vehicles quoted me around $3200 so they said it's probably better to just leave it with Ford.

Money is just money, but it'll be a PiTA to not have my daily driver for 3+ weeks. And no, they don't have loaner vehicles at LHM Ford in Draper Utah.

Good Lord, talk about poor customer relationship management....primarily since you said you've had the services done there. I'd roger on the comments that this would be the last time that dealership would see your Ford, and it's so unfortunate. Yeah, past the cutoff, but only by 350 miles, and so much more. Been to Dave's Garage? At least they post how they know their stuff. And BITOG site will fill you in on PAO oils, we're a year old on our '24 Bronco at only 3500 miles and have already changed the oil and had the oil tested (I use Blackstone Labs). Our rigs are costly enough to justify the cost of oil analysis. Sorry for your bad experience, but I'd also be the type to look at turbo options if I was asked to bear the factory price of replacement.
