Purchased the Hoss 3.0 kit (M-18000-B2) and downloaded the instructions. Everything looks pretty straight forward. The 2 rear and 2 front shocks look identical so I just wanted to confirm from anyone that has done the swap that the shocks aren't side specific correct? Rear stabilizer bar and links also looks like the same as the models that came with the rear sway bar? Part number on that appears the same as well. Did they change anything for the hoss 3.0? Any other tips before I get started? Thanks!

This might be an easier way to get the shocks off rather than what the Hoss Manual says...

No difference in left and right shocks - you are correct.

They may have a certain orientation (one side facing out) that they require - not sure about HOSS 3 Foxes, but some other brands do, particularly with external reservoirs.

I like that... How different would this process be with the electronic sway bar?

I imagine it shouldn't be any different. The sway bar still has end-links that bolt up to the arms. And both sway bars mount up to the same location on the frame.

If you have the sta-bar disconnect and using the LCA removal method to get shocks out you will need to gently lower the entire sta-bar assembly to get to a bolt / be able to fully slide the bolt out on I believe the passenger side of the LCA. You can see it in the 5th picture I added. To back out that rearward passenger side LCA bolt the you have to drop the sta-bar disconnect assembly.

It is not difficult, drop a skid, and I believe it was 4 mount points. Be very careful with the wire connections and don't pull on them or disconnect if you need to. I rested it on jack stands.

How are the 8112's treating you?

Happy to help, the sta-bar assembly is a bit heavy once you unbolt, so be ready and again, really watch the wires. I think there was a clip or something that gave a touch more slack if loosened but don’t fully recall.

As far as the 8112’s I’m very happy with them for my use cases. No regrets, does take a bit of time to figure out all the adjustments. I have a friend with some Kings, drove his rig the other day and both felt good on pavement. But the much longer rebuild intervals and higher speed desert capability / adjustability of the 8112’s got me.
