We have all favorite make and models, but I'm curious to see what other rare, oddball, or overlooked vehicles you appreciate beyond the beloved Bronco.

Whether it's a limited production model, obscure import, a quirky 4x4, or just something you never see, let's talk about it.

I'll start by sharing this Subaru Brat which generated this thread that I recently found online, it's 4x4, has 4 seats (2 in the bed) which allowed it to avoid the "Chicken Tax" by installing rear jump seats. I don't believe I have seen one in person but seems there is a cult enthusiast following

Ok but I have a long list and am a ford guy…’32 3 window & ’34 2dr sedan & phaeton fords, Harley knuckleheads, most any flat fender low hood Jeep, ‘49-‘51 2 dr mercury, ‘56 Buick roadmaster convertible, 56 ford f100 big back window custom, ‘59 corvette, ‘62 Pontiac 421v8 Bonneville, ‘63 ford 427v8 galaxy, any Shelby cobra or GT 40, ‘64-‘66 Shelby mustangs, ‘64 GTO, ’67 442, Lotus Europa John player special, ‘87-88 thunderbird turbo coupe, … I will quit there because the newer stuff, while having some fantastic offerings, just don’t have the “character” of the older stuff…and no I haven’t owned most on the list but my current daily is a ‘28 model A milk truck which I am thinking of trading up to ’56 Buick roadmaster convertible if one falls in my lap…

I am torn between my love of Early Broncos and 1964 thru 1970 Mustangs.

I have four, the 427 Shelby Cobra, first time I ever saw one I literally almost died ( long story)a 1974 Detomaso Pantera passed on buying that to buy a brand new 1992 Grand Am(biggest mistake of my life) 1989 Mitsubishi Starion passed on that one because a guy that was test driving it hit a light pole when he was parking it. 1990’s Jaguar XJS coupe. I used to work at the local Mitsubishi dealership my senior year and freshman college, we shared a facility with the Jaguar, Ferrari, Lotus dealership. That is were my interest started for all the cars mentions except the cobra I was much younger when that infatuation started.
Honorable mentions:
1992 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4
1992 Mitsubishi Galant VR4
Any year Mustang

Guanci SJJ

My Grandfather is the "rich and enraptured visitor" in this article. He wasn't really "rich", he just LOVED cars. Serial number on his car was SJJ1, 1 as in the first and only production one built. He had it for a few years and sold it to I think a guy in TX.

I would not call that Boss 302 rare or vintage but it is nice. There are rare and vintage Boss 302 out there but much older.

Yes, this! There is one around town here, mostly stored away but after seeing it in person I have a new appreciation for it.
